Regina Cassandra is a popular actress, who appears in Telugu, Tamil and Kannada films. She made her acting debut with 2005 Kollywood movie Kanda Naal Mudhal and entered Tollywood with Shiva Manasulo Shruthi (SMS) in 2012. Her performance in Tamil film Kedi Billa ****adi Ranga gave her much fame.

Regina's notable Telugu films are Kotha Janta, Ra Ra... Krishnayya, Subramanyam For Sale, Soukhyam and many more. She was last seen in the movie Nagaram.

Biography

Regina Cassandra was born on 13 December 1988 in Chennai, TamilNadu. She did her schooling from Lady Andal School and graduated in psychology from Women's Christian College, Chennai. She is girl of Tamil descent. She has started anchoring when she was nine years old for a kids show Splash. Later she featured in some commercials in her teens.

In Nakshathram

Regina will be seen in Telugu action thriller 'Nakshathram'. It also features Sundeep Kishan, Sai Dharam Tej, Pragya Jaiswal in lead roles. It is written and directed by Krishna Vamsi. The film is based on the real power of Police men. It will hit the theatres on 26 August 2017.

Regina Cassandra's mother is from Karnataka and father is from North India. Her grand mother is an Anglo-Indian from Goa and grand father is an Iyyengar who converted to Christianity. Her mother tongue is Tamil.

Career

Regina has started her career as an anchor and also has done many TV commercials during her school days. At the age of 17, she debuted in films. Her first Kannada film Suryakaanti has won good reviews at the box office. She has received SIIMA Award for Best Female Debutant for her performance in Shiva Manasulo Shruti (SMS).

Her 2014 movie Power was declared as one of the biggest blockbusters of the year. In 2015 she was seen in Subramanyam for Sale and Soukyam. Currently, she is busy with some of her Tamil films.
