Fanne Khan
Fanne Khan is a musical drama which also features Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in pivotal roles. The film has an interesting plot where we will see a father’s drive to make his daughter realise her dream. It is directed by debutante Atul Manjrekar and produced by Arjun N Kapoor, Prernaa Arora, Bhushan Kumar and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.
Stree
The film will see Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao pairing for the first time. It is reported to be a horror-comedy written by Raj and DK, who are known for films like Shor in the City, Go Goa Gone, Happy Ending and A Gentleman. Directed by Amar Kaushik, Stree is being backed by Maddock Films, jointly produced by Dinesh Vijan and Raj and DK. The film is based on an urban legend, set in a small village, Chanderi in Bhopal.
Love Sonia
The Tabrez Noorani directorial venture features an ensemble cast of Freida Pinto, Manoj Bajpayee, Rajkummar Rao, Richa Chadha, Anupam Kher, Adil Hussain, Sai Tamhankar, Sunny Parwar, Demi Moore, Mark Duplass, introducing Mrunal Thakur as the lead character Sonia, and Riya Sisodiya. The film has a backdrop of global *** trafficking and narrates the complex and inspiring story of two sisters from a small town who are trafficked and their struggle to survive and come out of it.
Mental Hai Kya
The posters of Mental Hai Kya grabbed our eyeballs due to its posters laden with dark humour. The quirky comedy marks the second collaboration between Kangana and Rajkummar after Queen. The film marks the Bollywood directorial debut of National award winning Telugu filmmaker, Prakash Kovelamudi.
5 Weddings
5 Weddings is the first international film of Rajkummar Rao. The Indian-American film also stars Nargis Fakhri, Candy Clark, Bo Derek and Anneliese Van der Pol. Rao will portray the character of a police officer from Punjab in the film.
Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga
Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga big names like Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Sonam Kapoor and Regina Cassandra in pivotal roles. Expected to be a rom-com, the film will be directed by debutant Shelly Chopra Dhar and is bankrolled by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani.
