In the IMG under the heading “Personnel Administration” the following areas are maintained: Forms of Address, Name Affixes, Marital Status, Address Types, Family/Related types, etc.

Forms of Address

Use
The most common Forms of Address used in USA are delivered with the SAP Best Practices for HCM U.S.

Procedure
1.Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:

2.On the Change View “Tittle Keys”: Overview screen, choose the New entries ****on and enter the following values. The gender has also been attached to the forms of address with the exception of ‘Dr’ to allow for the default on Infotype 0002:

Within this area configuration has been completed for the most common ‘Academic Titles’. All other name suffixes/affixes delivered within the standard SAP have been deleted.

Set Admissability for Maternity/Paternity Leave

Use
In USA both female and male employees are permitted to take leave when a child is born or adopted. Within the SAP Best Practices for HCM USA infotype 0080 has been configured to allow Maternity leave for female employees and Parental leave for both male and female employees based on the provincial legislation. In addition to infotype 0080 configuration feature ‘MA***’ must also be configured. Additional customizing related to maternity and parental leaves under the Family Medical Leave Act is outlined in both the ‘Time Management’ and ‘Payroll’ user guides.

Residence Status

Use
Configuration relevant to USA is delivered with the SAP Best Practices for HCM U.S. Residence Status is used to store the information required to manage the residence status and employment verification data necessary for employment.

Procedure
1.Access the activity using one of the following navigation options:
