Sonika Kaliraman

Sonika Kaliraman is an indian wrestler. She was the member of Doha Asian Game's indian squad.Sonika Kaliraman,daughter of legendary wrestler Master Chandgi Ram is a very promising wrestler.Brother-sister combination of Chandgi Ram’s children, Sonika and Jagdish have emerged among the best wrestlers available in the country. She has been featured in reality show - Khatron Ke khiladi with bollywood star Akshay Kumar.


Sonika is currently the only woman westler who has represented India in the Asian games making the country very proud. She also puts the small-screen on fire with her participation in adventure reality show, Fear Factor.
Originally from Haryana, Sonika grew up in New Delhi where her father trained her in his wrestling training camp. At the age of 23, he showed Sonika and her sisters photos of Laila Ali, daughter of Mohammed Ali and Karnam Malleswari, a South Indian who won an Olympic gold medal for weightlifting. At the time, she was worried that if she takes up this unusual career, she may end up alone but in February of 2009, she married an NRI, Siddhart Mallik and is now happily settled in California, USA. Her husband Siddhart is also a sportsman, having been a national champion in Martial arts in the United States.

Sonika proudly talks about her family of wrestlers and her father, “I belong to a family of wrestlers and my father has been a very well known name in the Indian wrestling community. It was because of my father that I was forced to learn the game. Women’s wrestling is not popular in India. Since kushti is considered a male domain, my father encouraged me to excel in the game.”

Speaking about her recent appearance on the reality tv show, Fear Factor, she says, “It’s a new experience for me to be on a set for a shoot, along with so many beautiful women. Initially I was very nervous and felt like the odd one out but when all the girls started interacting with each other, it turned out to be great fun. In fact, Roza, one of the contestants in the show, would walk up to me after every hour and ask for wrestling tips.”

She also goes on to say that she was thrilled to learn that she would have to perform “tricky and challenging stunts on the show”, adding “Being a woman wrestler, I was particularly impressed with the fact that the show is women-oriented and helps these 13 women to overcome fear. It sets an example for others and that is very inspiring.”

She participated in Asian games at Doha, and even though she didn’t win that time, Geetika Jakhar, another Indian female wrestler brought back a silver medal.

She was training to take part in Beijing Olympics in 2008 but due to some problems with the coach, she wasn’t put forward for it. Sonika has also inspired other young girls in India who have begun asking how they could take up the sport.

Ashima Bhalla

Ashima Bhalla is an Indian actress who appears in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Assamese movies. Bhalla gave her Hindi debut with Pyaar Zindagi Hai with Mohnish Bahl and Rajesh Khanna. She has acted along Chiranjeevi, Vijayakanth, Simran, Prabhudeva and Venu. She was the lead actress in the Indian soap Meri Awaz Ko Mil Gayi Roshni on Star Plus.She also participated in the show "Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena" alongside Irfan Pathan. She has modelled for magazines such as Rupali and Cuckoo Fashions.
She has also done a very popular item song 'nazar nazar mein hale dil ka pata chalta hai' in the movie hathyar [2002].

Natasha Suri

Natasha Suri is an Indian beauty pageant winner from Mumbai, India. She won the title of Miss India World in 2006 and placed in the top 10 at the Miss World pageant.She also won the spot of being one of the three most beautiful women in the Asian continent that year. She placed 2nd in the "Best Body" round at Miss World and made it to the top five in the "Talent" round. She also bagged the 'Miss beautiful smile' and 'Miss Personality' subtitles in the Miss India contest. She won eight beauty contests like the Navy Queen, Miss Maharashtra, Get Gorgeous -1 etc. before winning the Miss India pageant.

Natasha also hosts a luxury n lifestyle show Velvette on Sahara.She participated in the reality show 'The Big Switch' hosted by actress Genelia D'Souza where celebrities had to experience life in a slum in order to fulfill the dream of an assigned slumbuddy. She earned her bachelors degree in business management from Jai Hind College in Mumbai.She has two sisters who are also in Showbiz,Rupali Suri(Model/Anchor/Actress) who won the Gladrags MegaModel contest in 2006 and Soniya Suri is an actress In South India.She is half Punjabi and half Telugu by caste.

She was appointed Tourism Ambassador of Mauritius, receiving a lifetime honour of being 'Friends of Mauritius' by the Deputy Prime Minister of Mauritius. She has also been felicitated by the President of Sri Lanka in 2006 for her success as an ambassador of India. She was awarded the "Pillar of Hindustani Society" award in 2008 for her achievements in the fashion industry. She was also presented the "Jai Hind Achievers Alumnus" trophy in 2008. Suri has adjudged several beauty contests including the 'Universal Teen pageant' succeeding Former Miss World Diana Haydon who adjudged it last year.

Mink Brar

Mink grew up in Germany. She is known as Dev Anand's find in the industry who launched her in Pyar Ka Tarana (2003). She did roles in few films like ‘Hum Aapke Dil Mein Rehte Hain’ and ‘Saat Rang Ke Sapne’, all with limited knowledge of the Indian film industry and a serious language barrier! She also did some films like Dipal Tijori's Oops! and small role in Ajnabee.

Her acting and dancing s****s got her noticed and she soon did a music album – ‘Ghoongat Remix’. Mink considers dance as a serious art form and equates it with beauty, grace, power and rhythm.

She also launched a production house Bro & Sis Productions with her brother, Punnu. Their first film was Katputtli (2006) directed by Sanjay Khanna in which, she had also acted.

Mink is a live wire on screen and on stage, Mink loves all the attention she gets. A big fan of Saroj Khan, Helen, Madhubala and Shilpa Shetty; Mink adores Cleopatra’s persona and Waheeda Rehman’s graceful stance. Mink admires Akshay’s moves and hopes to have him as her dance partner some day. Her song – ‘Lal ghagra’ always gets her up on her feet and on the dance floor!

She recently did a dancing show, Dancing Queen on Colors, where she was a mentor. A Bollywood music junkie, Mink likes a combination of the eastern and the western when she hits the dance floor. She was also one of the contestants of the 2009 adventure reality show, "Sarkaar Ki Duniya" on Real TV channel but was eliminited early.
