Jimmy Shergill offered Monica Mogre

Beyond Dreams is making a habit to have Bollywood actors on their show. After Tanuja and Mahesh Manjrekar, Jimmy Shergill could very well be the next Bollywood star to make his television debut with a Beyond Dreams show.

According to our source, the actor has signed for Beyond Dreams’ thriller Monica Mogre. Jimmy will be playing a negative role in the second series. The first series is expected to last for month and Jimmy will come into play in the next story.

Confirming the news, Jimmy says, “Yes, I have been offered a very fine role by Yash Patnaik. I don’t recollect the name of the show but it’s going to be a thriller. The director Satyam narrated the script to me and I really liked it. It’s a negative character. I haven’t signed it yet as I need to work out my dates. I’m very keen to be part of this project. Things will become clear by 5 January. It this works out then it will be my television debut.”

Chairman and CEO of Beyond Dreams Yash Patnaik says, “We have approached Jimmy but nothing is signed. If you look at our record, we’ve always had a Bollywood star in our show. We had Tanuja onboard Babban Bhai v/s Vimla Tai and then Mahesh Manjrekar will make his debut with the first series of Monica Mogre. We’re hoping to have Jimmy in the second series. We’d like to keep the trend going.”

Monica Mogre is a lady cop that’s played by Parakh Madan. This weekend show launches on 10 January at 8.30 pm on Zee TV.
