Nehle Pe Dohla (Dehla): Lux Perfect Bride




For the first time in the history of "Lux Perfect Bride" that somebody other than Mrs. Sudesh Rani Chauhan "spoke" in the Mummy Mahal.


If made part of the Mummy of the week voting , no doubt that Rumpa's Mom will be the Mom of the week. It was always Mrs Chanuhan who took over the mummy mahal right from the beginning whether she was MOW or not, all other mummies either spoke her(sudeshrani) words and gave her verdict (Rajbeer's mom and Vivek's mom ) or kept MUM (Yash's mom).

Now Mrs Chauhan is facing someone of her level but alas its her 'Samdhan' ,so she cannot say much about and against her.


All the points raised by Mrs. Roy (Rumpa's mom) make sense and she rightly said "Yeh(Rumpa) teen mahine se yaha hai to ab hame kucch nahi samajhti" . Rumpa is blindly in love with hitesh and mother who are giving her puppies and jhappies unlike her own strict mother and hence she does not want to listen to her own mother who is speaking bitter truth.

Rumpa wants to get married at any cost in the show itself otherwise things might turn the other way, in her words "Bahar jake meri toh Aisi ki taisi ho jayegi" and hence she has also taken the decision to be a vegetarian in a haste which is not an issue for her (as of now) but Bengali saans lena chod sakta hai macchi khana nahi, she is very smart and knows once she is married she can do anything at her mom's place and nobody would ever know . Sudeshrani and hitesh wants to take the LPB home at any cost to save thier nose.

KISS AND TELL: Lux Perfect Bride

The boys came with their mothers, the girls came and they all lived in separate quarters having convenient balconies. Mummies wanted vegetarian girls and gori girls. Boys were confused but happy to date so many pretty girls with free food and free publicity. One good boy and one good girl separated themselves from others and began their own journey. Other bad girls and bad boys had no such luck. They tried their best but some were evicted while some were rejected. The mummies tried to fix girls for their boys and succeeded to some extent. Only one mum was spared of fixing as she tried to unfix unsuccessfully after some reminders from her husband. One mother succeeded in separating the happening couple with bare hands. One mum tried every girl for her son. One mother made quick switchover quite successfully.

Atlast 2 pairs were left and starplus tried to create romantic moments with them. First it was some close moments in no man's land. The cameras did not allow them to be spontaneous but made them to be on their toes with all the filming dialogues like cut cut cut. After umpteen retakes, they got their footage to show us and to show to those jokers on the gala rounds . And all the gullible public started to vote for their favourite jodis. The public started their heated discussions and wrote whatever they felt.

And now starplus wore the robes of a pandit and asked the girls to run and complete gimmicky tasks(?) like imprinting their hands and that terrible coconut thing while the mummies looked on amusingly as if it is a gudda guddi khel and not a serious matter of marriage.

Starplus is not satisfied. There must be more to show to the jokers on gala rounds and the gullible public. What is romance without huggings and kisses? First they performed the sacred after marriage rituals like finding the ring and discovering their brides who are in ghunghat. Wished there were some hijras in ghunghats to scare the boys. And it is all a ploy to make the girls hug their boys while the hapless boys blushed and ran wishing their brides did not eat the free food that much (India gate basmati rice and all). Gurpreet sulked. And Vivek seemed relieved as he cannot possibly lift the heavy weight bride and run also.

And now kisses. And do we have to watch even the first nights? Please spare us.
