Arya's performance as the 'Aghora' sanyasi in Bala's 'Naan Kadavul' took both the critic and the layman by surprise. He brought such raw power and energy to the character that it made his co-stars cower in his presence. He followed it up with another hit in Vishnuvardhan's 'Sarvvam'.
