Shiney held for ****

 Actor Shiney Ahuja was arrested for having allegedly ****d his housemaid. In October, Shiney was released on bail and reportedly moved into his parents' home in Noida because he is not allowed to stay in Mumbai during his bail period. What she said: "I do not believe her. There is only one truth and that is Shiney is innocent." Anupam Ahuja Status now: Shiney began shooting for Pritish Nandy Communications' Ek Accident, co-starring Soha Ali Khan in November 2009 in Delhi.

Cries of distress hold court

 Ketan Anand and Vivek Anand were sentenced to life imprisonment after being charged with the ****** of actress Priya Rajvansh who inherited a part of their father producer-director Chetan Anand's property after his death. What she said: ''We finally got justice.'' Reva Sethi, Rajvansh's friend. Status now: The brothers received bail in November 2002. A couple of years ago, Vivek Anand held an art exhibition called Memoria the Primordial Dance, while Ketan Anand made a docu-drama to commemorate their father's death anniversary.

No regrets, says Arbaaz

 On April 18, the story broke out that Arbaaz Khan was getting separated from his wife Malaika and getting remarried. Turned out, it was a publicity stunt for an ad campaign. The press was not amused at their tactics. What they said: "All is well in paradise. Our marriage is the most sacred thing." Malaika. "We had so many anxious friends contacting us. " Arbaaz Status now: Malaika continued on her reality show spree by doing Perfect Bride this year, while Arbaaz acted in Fashion and Kisaan. He is now starring in Abhinav Kashyap's film Dabaang.

Rekha thrown out of Kyunki
1 April 2005
 Rekha Modi, the dialogue writer and former friend of Smriti Irani, was unceremoniously thrown out of Kyunki Saas Bhi Bahu Thi for allegedly sending threatening messages to Smriti. Rekha, who was once her best friend, apparently threatened her because Smriti was intefering in the Kyunki script endlessly. What she said: ''I don't want to be part of anything that is associated with Smriti Irani.'' Rekha Modi Status now: Modi and an accomplice were arrested. She later went on to write for serials like Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi and Paraya Dhan.

RIP: Lakme India Fashion Week
1 December 2005
 Lakme India and Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) split after FDCI insisted on thrice the fee for marketing. The Delhi-Mumbai divide grew deeper. Lakme's six-year contract ended with FDCI and was not renewed. What he said: "IMG and Lakme's decision is disappointing. They are doing it out of spite. I don't see too many designers participating in the event." Rohit Bal Status now: After the split, there are Lakme India Fashion Week in Mumbai and Wills Lifestyle Fashion Week in Delhi. Sumeet Nair's Fashion Foundation of India and FDCI are now planning on just one Delhi Fashion Week.
