 Rakta Charitra is written and directed by Ram Gopal Varma. Said to depict the life of political leader Paritala Ravindra (played by Vivek Oberoi), the film has Surya enacting the role of Maddelacheruvu Suri. The film also stars Shatrughan Sinha as NT Rama Rao, Kota Srinivasa Rao and Radhika Apte claiming other pivotal roles. The film is scheduled to be released on October 22, 2010.
