Aamir-reena to separate separate

 Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta filed for divorce after 15 years of marriage, in 2002. Aamir secretly married Reena in 1987, even before his first film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak released. The couple have two children, Junaid and Ira. What they said: Aamir and Reena mutually filed for divorce because of "temperamental differences" the divorce petition Status now: Aamir married Lagaan assistant director Kiran Rao in 2005. She was associate producer on Aamir's directorial debut, Taare Zameen Par and has now helmed Dhobi Ghaat, starring Aamir, which is to release in April 2010.

Jon accused of ***ual assault
15 March 2007
 Designer Anand Jon was arrested from his Beverly Hills home after a woman alleged he ****d her. Jon was charged with six felonies for ***ual assaults, including one on a 15-year-old girl. What they said: "He absolutely contends, he didn't break any laws with respect to the contact he had with these girls." Anand Jon's defense lawyer. Status now: In August 2009, he was sentenced to 59 years to life. He is expected to be extradited to other parts of USA where cases are pending against him.

Riding on big money
 Artist Tyeb Mehta's triptych, Celebrations, was auctioned in September 2002 for Rs 1.5 crore, the highest ever paid at that point to an Indian artist. Later that year, M F Husain's Lightning, made in 1975, was sold for Rs 2 crore. What he said: "When Tyeb reached the Rs 1 crore mark I said bravo, finally we have crossed the barrier." M F Husain Status now: Tyeb Mehta, 84, died on July 2 this year of a heart attack in Mumbai. His works are on display at the Museum of Modern Art, Oxford, England.

Farah picks Akshay

 Director Farah Khan, who once swore to never make a film without Shah Rukh Khan as her hero, chose Akshay Kumar for her next venture Tees Maar Khan. The film is written and co-produced by her husband Shirish Kunder. What she said: "I am very fond of Shah Rukh, but I have to be there for my husband. Shirish needs my support today." Farah Status now: Akshay Kumar has three other films lined up for 2010, including Vipul Shah's Action Replay, Priyadarshan's Khatta Meetha and Nikhil Advani's Patiala House.
