Britney Spears has been left blushing after unwittingly flirting with a male contender on the X Factor.

In yet another new promotional video for the reality TV contest, the 30-year-old is seen in an exchange with a handsome hopeful.
The Hit Me Baby One More Time songstress compliments the young man after he impresses her with his audition.

Blown away by his melodic performance, the bubbly blonde purrs in her Southern drawl: 'You have a really nice soothing sound and I wish you could wake me up in the morning.'
Immediately fellow X Factor judge Demi Lovato breaks into fits of giggles, saying 'Hey-ooh!'
To which a blushing Britney protests, explaining that she actually meant 'singing', all whilst holding her head in her hands.

Meanwhile, Simon Cowell is seen looking down at his desk and shaking his head, before simply quipping 'awkward!'
Britney isn't all just sweetness and light in the promo, she also has some harsh words for some contenders.

But she explains that 'it is really kind of hard to tell people no,' after one hopeful is seen breaking down in tears after being rejected during auditions.

In the 33-second video, Britney says she cannot wait to get into the X Factor judging seat in order to find a new rising star.
'I am so excited I have never done anything like this before,' she says. 'It is a great process to be a part of, to be able to help someone create their dreams.
The new clip is the second promotional video released for the show this month, and shows one same scene as the last, in which Britney unleashes on one reality TV hopeful.
The pop star, who has been described as an 'incredibly tough' judge, dispenses some harsh words to the contestant, asking a young man: 'I wanna know who let you on stage?'

Last month the four judges took part in a press conference via a videolink, where Cowell hinted at what viewers can expect from the new additions to the panel.
He revealed that Britney can tend to be quite ruthless when it comes to her judging style.
'Demi is a brat,' he told reporters. 'But there's something likeable about her. Britney's quite mean, as you'll discover.'
The two-night season premiere of The X Factor will air September 12 and 13, and Fox has already released promo shots and a trailer to hype the second season of the popular singing competition series.
