Some of the biggest stars in the entertainment industry dolled up tonight for the Teen Choice Awards.

And the teen idols were led by Selena Gomez who was pretty in pink, sporting a slinky magenta dress which displayed her pins.
The singer and actress was celebrating her 20th birthday by spending the evening at the bash.

Glee’s Lea Michele followed suit and shimmered in a shiny silver dress, showing off her enviable legs.
The fitted frock clung to the 25-year-old’s slender frame and she sported matching platform pumps.
The structured dress boasted a rose petal effect which made for an arresting sight as Lea struck a series of poses upon her arrival.

Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev also sported a strapless creation for the awards bash and revealed her pins.

The actress, 23, donned a strapless teal dress which had a very racy split up one side, teaming the frock with gold strappy sandals.
Both of the brunette bombshells left their flowing chestnut tresses loose for their glamorous evening looks, although Nina also braided a couple of skinny plaits into her hair.

Demi Lovato, who is hosting the show, looked fantastic in a futuristic patterned dress in canary and silver hues which also boasted a feather trim.

They may be only 16 and 14-years-old respectively, but Kendall and Kylie Jenner looked a great deal older than their years as they hit the Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles tonight.

The reality show sisters stepped out in minuscule dresses and full make-up as they arrived together at Universal City Walk.

Kendall looked stunning in a black lacy one-shouldered dress which she teamed with nude heels and wore her hair in a fishtail braid over one shoulder.

'Teen Choice tonight, can't wait,' tweeted Kylie, while Kendall wrote: 'Teen Choice, I'm Comin.'


A striking sight: The Jenner sisters are fast becoming teen idols in their own right, regularly appearing on Keeping Up with the Kardashians


They seemed to also enjoy spotting some of their favourite celebrities walking the pink carpet, with Kendall tweeting: 'Pauly D is sick.'
And this year, the sisters might walk off with a gong of their own at the show, having been nominated along with their half siblings the Kardashians for TV: Female Reality Star honours along with best reality show.
However, Keeping Up With The Kardashians will have to beat Dance Moms, Jersey Shore, Punk’d and Tia & Tamera to win the gong.

But self-confessed tomboy at heart Kristen Stewart found a great medium between looking well put together and feeling good in her own skin tonight as she graced attended the 2012 Teen Choice Awards.

At this year’s prestigious Met Gala she switched into comfortable trainers once she left the red carpet and more recently at Comic-Con she donned high top sneakers with her mini skirt.

However her beau opted to give away his large trophy to the girls in the audience, causing his partner to follow suit.

As Lautner, who plays Jacob Black in the motion pictures, generally doesn’t win as many accolades as Pattinson, who plays Edward Cullen, he chose to hang onto his prize.

Although he coordinated with Kristen, he failed to pull off his large floral print shirt which he wore underneath a casual black jacket.

The singer's legs looked endless in the thigh-skimming metallic number as she posed on the pink carpet ahead of the show at Universal City's Gibson Ampitheatre. .

But just 365 days later, Gomez - who was celebrating her birthday - was bonding with Taylor Swift instead.

Lovato admitted to Perez Hilton that the friends aren't as close as they used to be, but that Gomez will always have a 'special place in her heart,' if not on her arm.

Interestingly enough, she still follows the former Wizards of Waverly Place star on Twitter while Gomez does not follow her.

After taking a decade-long hiatus from performing together, the band’s front woman hasn’t exactly been out of the spotlight, making her acting debut in Aviator and enjoying a solo career.
But No Doubt fans were undoubtedly happy to see the four-piece back together tonight as they returned to the stage at the Teen Choice Awards 2012 to perform their new song Settle Down.

She added an extra stylish element with gold ankle bracelet which appeared to have a tiny cross pendant, perhaps serving as a good luck charm.
Despite every member being in their forties, all four blondes looked especially cool in sunglasses during the event held at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California.

When it came to performing their new single though, the group had another fashion treat in store for the audience, hosted by Demi Lovato and Kevin McHale.

The ensemble announced their return to the stage in late May, with Gwen saying that she was thrilled to be sharing new music.

The 42-year-old gushed: ‘I can't believe this is actually happening. The idea of playing our new music live is heaven on earth. Can't wait to share it!’
Their forthcoming album will be released on September 25, almost 11 years since their last titled Rock Steady.

The trio were dressed casually with Kristen sporting a pair of leather trousers, black heels and a blue, silver and black jacket.

'To share this with all of you means so much to me, added Kristen, while Robert Pattinson asked: 'Can I give this to the audience?', which led the stars to hand over their gongs to the cheering crowd.

'Thank you guys so much. It's been an amazing five years,' he added.

The pint-size singer was later spotted sitting next to his girlfriend Selena Gomez who also won a gong for Choice Music Act along with her band Selena Gomez and The Scene.
But the singer, who turned 22-years-old yesterday, wasn't allowed to leave the stage without being presented with a birthday cake complete with sparklers.

'This is the best birthday present ever. Thank you so much,' she said.

The show also featured performances by Flo Rida and No Doubt, with Gwen Stefani taking the stage in a black and white geometric outfit to sing the group's new single Settle Down.

Carly Rae Jepsen performed her hit Call Me Maybe at the show's close, stepping out on stage wearing a lilac playsuit and white studded baseball boots.
Her performance was shown against a backdrop of celebrities and audience members, including Justin Bieber, miming to the song.

Hosted by Demi Lovato and Glee star Kevin McHale, the awards are voted for by fans on website Teenchoiceawards.com with a whopping 134 million votes cast this year.

After arriving on the red carpet in a geometric yellow, nude, black and grey dress with her hair pulled into a ponytail, X Factor judge Demi changed her outfit twice more during the show.

After presenting the first few gongs, she swapped the striking number for a white split shirt and navy blue skirt with oversized earrings.

Her final ensemble consisted of a black leather jacket and skirt with a silver cross necklace, and her night was completed when she was awarded a gong for Best Female Summer Star.

Other main winners included Zac Efron for his film The Lucky One, Chris Hemsworth for Summer Movie Actor for Snow White & The Huntsman and 21 Jump Street for Best Comedy Movie, with writer and star Jonah Hill accepting the award.

He said: 'I want to thank my favourite male exotic dancer Channing Tatum,' referring to his co-star in the film, who is currently starring in stripper movie Magic Mike.
Zac Efron was humble as he took to the stage saying:' I have the best fans in the world.'

And Josh Hutcherson, who won for Male Actor, Sci-Fi/Fantasy said: 'I've always wanted to own my own surfboard. My character Peeta is the bomb,' referring to his Hunger Games alter ego.
Star of iCarly Miranda Cosgrove was awarded the Acuvue Inspire Award, stepping out on stage in a glittery black and silver mini dress.
She told fans: 'This means so much to me. I think anyone can be an inspiration in their own way.'

The Vampire Diaries sealed a great night with awards for actress Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder and the series itself, with Michael Trevino winning the 'Choice Scene Stealer' award.
Trevino accepted on behalf of the series for Choice TV Show, Sci Fi/Fantasy, but revealed the cast would not be celebrating by partying into the night.

'We've very grateful to be here but we have to get up at 6am. We've got to work tomorrow,' he said.

Ian Somerhalder was a surprise winner for the Best Hottie award, beating teen heartthrob Justin Bieber to the big prize, while the absent Miley Cyrus won the female Best Hottie gong.


Ian took the stage on behalf of Cyrus, telling fans: 'Miley Cyrus could not be here tonight. She wanted me to thank her parents, but most of all to you her fans. From me, you're all so special. Thank you.'

Ellen DeGeneres brought young YouTube sensations and Ellen Show regulars Sophia Grace Brownlee and Rosie McClelland on stage with her to accept the award for Choice Comedian, with the British youngsters thrilled to learn they had won Choice Web Star prize.

'This is so brilliant!' shrieked Sophia Grace. 'This is the best thing that's ever happened!'

The show also featured a slew of celebrity presenters including Chris Colfer, Will.i.am, Hayden Panettiere, Lea Michele, and Zoe Saldana.
