From kababs to biryani and haleem to boti, these Ramzan delights are totally drool-worthy. But once you are done with a flavourful meal, there's nothing quite like the Ramzan desserts. In fact, we love these so much we're convinced you should try making these sweets yourself. Here are some Ramzan sweet recipes you and your famly will love. Phirni This a traditional rice pudding made by Muslims during Ramzan as well as on the occasion of Eid. Ingredients 2 cups milk 2 tbsp rice 3 tbsp sugar 1/4 cup almonds (blanched and sliced) 1 tsp cardamom (crushed) 1/2 tsp kewra essence Method 1) Soak the rice in water for a few hours. Then drain water and grind rice into a smooth paste. 2) Bring the milk to a boil. Over medium heat add rice, sugar and cardamom and stir constantly till milk turns thick. 3) Remove from heat and add almonds. 4) Put into a bowl and chill. Don't miss: Finger-licking Good Eid Recipes Rooh Afza Falooda This is a chilled dessert drink that has its roots in Persia. It is a popular Ramzan festival treat. Ingredients 1/4 cup Rooh Afza (rose syrup) 1/4 pkt falooda sev (cook as per packet instructions) 1 cup chilled milk 1 tbsp sabja (soak in 3 cups water till they swell, then drain and chill) 2 cups vanilla ice cream canned cherries Method 1) Add 2 tbsp cooked sev to each of your glasses. 2) Top with 2 tsp of subja seeds. 3) Pour 2 tbsp of syrup (or according to your tastes) on top of that. 4) Pour in chilled milk while trying to maintain the layers in the glass. 5) Top with a scoop of vanilla icecream. 6) Add a cherry on the top. Now go ahead and make this Ramzan extra sweet with these treats! |
