Jayanta Talukdar: This archer was part of the team that won at the 2004 Junior World Championships. He even won a gold medal at the FITA Meteksan World Cup in 2006 and a gold and a bronze at the South Asian Games and the Asian Games 2006 respectively. We definitely can expect a gold from him this time. What do you think? Ashwini Ponappa: This will be the first time at the Olympics for this youngster. She will be among the five badminton players representing India at the Summer Olympics in London this year. Ashwini who will be paired with Jwala Gutta in the women’s doubles, is excited to represent her country. We hope Ashwini who won a bronze at the World Championship Games last year, bags a medal at the Olympics too. Anu Raj Singh: Anu won a silver medal at the World Cup earlier this year. She along with ace shooter Heena Sidhu won a bronze and a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games 2010 in the women’s pairs 10 m air pistol event. Here’s wishing her good luck for the London Olympics. |
