The Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, and Brazil's Fundacao Dom Cabrall have released the results of their joint survey on the Ranking of Indian Transnational Companies. It is the first time such a systematic ranking is being attempted in India using a globally accepted, multi-dimensional measure of internationalisation viz., the Transnational Index. This survey, which was released by Raveendra Chittoor, Assistant Professor of Strategy, Indian School of Business, in Mumbai on Wednesday, covers the period from FY 2008-09 to FY 2010-11. The Transnationality Index uses a combination of three measures to determine the degree of internationalisation of companies: i) Percentage of international assets - consolidated international assets/consolidated total assets. ii) Percentage of international revenues - consolidated international revenues/consolidated total revenues. iii) Percentage of foreign employees - total number of foreign employees/total number of employees. Let's take a look at which 20 companies are truly global. Click here for the Complete TOP 10 LIST
