![]() Priyanka Chopra Of late, Miss Piggy Chops had made admirable progress with her style statements on the red carpet, but this Gauri & Nainika dress is not remarkable enough to carry forward her successful stint. That piercing pink is too fluorescent a shade for anyone but Barbie, and the asymmetrical detail down the front might have come across as fashion forward and earned her the tag of trendsetter... had she worn it half a decade ago. The makeup washes her out; but on the plus side, we love the diamond-encrusted drop earrings and that cute wavy ponytail. BollyCurry Rating: 3.5/5 |

![]() Sonam Kapoor Sonam, as always, makes a bold choice with this ultra modern saree by her go-to designer Anamika Khanna. The classic red and black combination is immediately striking, but the ornate blouse with its unique leaflet embroidery is the real showstealer. The appropriately formal but still youthful updo is a hit, as is the complementing glamorous smoky eye, glossy lip makeup. If only the saree would have be |

![]() Lara Dutta Attention, readers: we refuse to be among those fashionistas who rip on new mommies in B-town for not shedding the baby weight the moment they step out of the delivery room, and we are confident that you kind-hearted folks have similarly humane expectations. We appreciate that the former Miss Universe chose an elegant brocade and net saree for the occasion instead of making a feeble attempt to hide her post pregnancy bod under a designer potato sack. The minimal makeup and dainty jhumkas complete the look wonderfully. Alas, the underwhelming hair keep this look from reaching its full potential. BollyCurry Rating: 4/5 ![]() Dia Mirza Wearing something patterned from top to bottom and pulling it off is no easy feat, but trust this lovely lass to make it work. The Anita Dongre dress is in nautical tones of navy and white which are subdued enough to allow the print do the talking without turning it into an eyesore. The silhouette is fitted and flared in all the right places, except for the overly structured stitching around the bust. Other than that, the funky chunky necklace and neatly held curls add to the appeal and turn the overall look into a forerunner. BollyCurry Rating: 4.5/5 |

![]() Kangna Ranaut It couldn't be any more obvious that Kangna was channeling Audrey Hepburn's iconic Breakfast at Tiffany's look on this occasion; in fact, 'channeling' is too mild a term. Emulating everything from the sleek updo with side swept bangs to the classic little black dress to even the pearls around her neck, Kangana pretty much mistakes the event for a costume ball where attendees are to recreate their favorite fashion moments. Though the look lacks originality, we cannot deny she looks pretty in it. That particular choice of hair and makeup suits the stylish starlet better than any she has sported in a long while. If that would have been the only element of Audrey we saw on Kangna that night and had she paired it with something all her own to go, this look too might have earned a place in fashion history along with its inspiration. BollyCurry Rating: 3.5/5 ![]() Sophie Choudhry Just like PC, Sophie also opted for a painfully vivid shade of pink better suited for highlighting important notes than highlighting celebrity presence on a red carpet! The figure flattering fit and pleated chiffon overlay could have been put to better use in softer hues. The teal eye shadow reeking of the worst of the '80s and the way-too-literal messy bun drag the look down considerably, making it one of the worst offenders of the night; perhaps also a rare mishap in Sophie's fashion recordings. ![]() Gauhar Khan This multitasking diva donned a dress that's eerily similar to the one Dabangg girl Sonakshi Sinha sported at the IIFA Awards last year. She too had paired a plunging three-quarter sleeved black gown with ruby lips on that occasion. However, every little detail counts, and Gauhar did a better job with those than her potential source of inspiration. The sleek yet soft half-up hairdo gives a more youthful appearance than the mature style Sonakshi had sported, and the elegant gold jewelry too glamorizes an otherwise stark look. Overall a fair pull off which could have been better, but also could have been a lot worse. BollyCurry Rating: 4/5 ![]() Ekta Kapoor We do wonder how many different colors the powerful producer bought that one-shoulder dress in and whether she purchased them all at once or not. We're also tired of the hair cut which shows no potential for experiment, not to mention reminds your faithful reporting fashionista of a certain comic book vamp from her childhood. However, we rejoice the minimal grace of choosing white as opposed to the gaudy shades of strikingly similar box cut numbers previously worn. Ms. Kapoor, we say finding your right color is a start! Which leaves finding a silhouette that suits her frame, not filling the wardrobe with multiple clones varying in color only, and she may yet be on the road to runway redemption.
