Default TOP 10 TV actors who left their shows not wanting to sport grey strands on screen

Here are some other TV actors who left their shows not wanting to sport grey strands on screen.

Nakuul Mehta

Nakuul Mehta has confirmed that he will no longer be part of Bade Acche Lagte Hain 2. The show will be taking a time leap of 20 years and the lead characters (Nakuul and Disha Parmar) have decided to opt out. Nakuul in an interview said he had nothing new to offer to the show and that was one of the reasons he has decided to quit the serial.

Nia Sharma

TV show Jamai Raja went through a 20-year leap in 2016. And with that Nia Sharma, who played the role of Roshni in the show, called it quits. In an interview, she had said, "I decided to quit the moment I heard about the leap without wanting to know about the future track. I don't know what was in store for me, but I certainly didn't want to age."

Eisha Singh

Sanjeeda Shaikh replaced Eisha in the show Ishq Ka Rang Safed as Eisha was not comfortable playing a mother after the show took a five-year leap in 2016. Eisha being a teenager was concerned that playing a mother at that stage in her career would hamper her chances of getting to play younger characters. Even though the producers tried to convince her to stay back, she didn't.

Mohit Sehgal

When actor Mohit Sehgal got to know about the leap in his show Sarojini in 2015, he politely refused. He did not want to play a father in his career at that point.

Drashti Dhami

TV show Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani started in 2015 and the leads Drashti Dhami and Siddhant Karnick were loved for their chemistry. The show decided to take a generation leap and that is when Drashti decided to opt out. Drashti, who portrayed the role of a queen, would have to play a mother on screen, which she was not comfortable with.

Shoaib Ibrahim

Shoaib Ibrahim, who was the male lead in Sasural Simar Ka, quit the show due to the same reason. A 14-year time leap was the reason why he did not want to continue. Shoaib was not ready to age on screen; he did not want to play a character who was much older than his real age.

Yuvleen Kaur

Yuvleen Kaur, who featured as Jeeto in Choti Sarrdaarni last year, decided to exit the show not wanting to play an older role. In an interview, she had said, "I wasn’t keen on continuing as I didn’t want to play a mother so soon in my career. I have just started working and am aware that actors tend to get typecast in a role. I didn’t want to take that risk. I am fine with the idea of playing a mother to kids. But imagine me playing mother to actors my age!"

Parul Chauhan

Parul decided to quit Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai after a two-year stint, as it was going in for a time leap and this time around, she was asked to play a grandmother. While the actress was not ready to play a grandmother, she was also concerned about her character losing relevance after the time leap.

Surbhi Chandna

The audience enjoyed watching the chirpy Anika played by Surbhi in Ishqbaaz for two years till the makers decided to go in for a time leap in 2018. Post leap, Surbhi would have to play mother to Nakuul Mehta, so she called it quits.
