As reported earlier, producer Rashmi Sharma of
Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat is producing a
show on Sony tentatively titled as
Bandini. It is the same title as that of Balaji’s upcoming show. The title of this show has now been changed to
Suhagan. And the launch too has been pushed to yet another date.
The show was initially titled as
Sangini, then
Bandini and now
Suhagan. The show was supposed to launch in mid-October. Later it was postponed to mid-November. However, all the dates and titles were tentative. A source from the show informs, “The new title is
Suhagan. The previous title clashed with the title of Balaji’s new show on NDTV Imagine. Also the launch date saw some changes. Now the launch date is February 5. There are chances of this show seeing a further delay in case the channel decides to replace an ongoing show on Sony with this one.”
Talking about the change in title, producer Rashmi Sharma said, “
Bandini is not the title of our show because it was not right for me as per numerology. Balaji’s new show has nothing to do with us. We changed the title in November itself.” But she refused to make any comment on the new title and the launch date.
Sanjay Upadhyay, the creative head fiction Sony said, “We are in the process of finalising things. Things will get clear in a few days.”
