Shweta Tiwari was initially linked romantically to her co-stars but this was followed by contradictory rumours that she did not get along with her co-star Cezzane Khan, because of her attitude. Shweta then made the news because of stories that she was being abused by her husband, Raja Chaudhary. She is now going through a divorce. The actress was later linked with many people, right from the Balaji Telefilms lawyer to director Mahesh Manjrekar.

Rakhi Sawant has always been called a Drama Queen. Her time in the spotlight of controversy started with the infamous smooch that singer Mika gave her, which prompted her to file a case against him. Rakhi then participated in Bigg Boss, where she took on co-contestant Kashmira Shah and had problems with the others as well. The item girl then participated in dance reality show Nach Baliye; after losing in the finale, she declared to everyone who would listen that the channel cheated her and that she would lodge complaint. The matter was later resolved and she worked again with the same channel.

Rakhi and her ex-boyfriend’s romance was commonly knowledge with the couple publicly breaking up, coming back together and finally splitting up. Now, Rakhi is back in the spotlight, busy searching for a bridegroom through a nationally televised reality show.

Smriti Irani had a meteoric rise with her leading role in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. But, after she established her own production house, she is said to have had differences with Bajalji Telefilms head Ekta Kapoor, and had to leave the hit show. She also had tough time with the cast of Waaris, the show she produced, because she apparently did not pay her actors. Smriti later patched up with Ekta and returned to Kyunki... The actor tried her hand at politics but got mired in controversy over some comments she made about the BJP party.

Sambhavna Seth had a difficult time in Bigg Boss 2. She fought with almost all the other participants, and had a particularly ugly blowout with Raja Chaudhary. In her next show, Dancing Queen, she fought with Deepshikha, and later had troubles with item girl Rakhi Sawant over money.
