Government of Karnataka commercial taxes department has announced major changes in commercial taxes with effect from 1^{st April, 2009.}
^{Persons with monthly salary upto Rs. 10,000/ - are exempted from professions tax.’}

^{5000 - 7999}	⁶⁰	⁰
^{8000 - 9999}	¹⁰⁰	⁰
^{10000 - 14999}	¹⁵⁰	¹⁵⁰
^{15000 & ABOVE}	²⁰⁰	²⁰⁰
