Default Recent leaps on television shows

It’s common for our daily soaps to take a leap. This is done so that the audience would have something fresh over the routine story line. Let's have a look at some shows of recent times that have gone through a time machine.

Bandini
This Ekta Kapoor show had taken a 10 year leap. Viewers witnessed some high-voltage drama in which Dharmaraj and Arjan had a huge tiff when the latter tried to hurt but eventually lost his life and Santo was accused for it. She is jailed and with this the leap starts. Birva Mahiyavanshi, the daughter of Dharmaraj Mahiyavanshi (Ronit Roy) will be grown up. The first episode post-leap was aired in January. The show's been doing well, both before and after the leap.

Devi

Imagine TV’s Devi has taken a leap and in this Lakshmi played by new comer Dipali Sampson has grown up believing that she is a Devi, but deep down in her heart she is like any other girl stepping into adulthood. Like all the other girls of her age, she too dreams of falling in love and getting married.

An eternal optimist, Lakshmi always looks at the positive side of everything and believes that her dreams will turn into reality one day. Deprived of education during childhood, Lakshmi grows up as an illiterate girl who has not had much interaction with the outside world and thinks that the world is as pure as her heart is. Audience reactions have been mixed.

Maat Pitaah Ke Charnon Mein Swarg
This show is being on aired on Colours. The show’s track had taken and interesting turn with Arjun (Nikhil Chaddha) ****ing his own mother Yasodha who jumps in between to save Suhani from Arjun. A few days later, the obsessed Arjun again tries to make Suhani come to him; she refuses and then accidentally jumps off the cliff. Everyone in the house is sad and mourning Suhani’s demise.

After this, they have now taken a year long leap and the lead actress who played the role of Suhani was replaced by Megha Gupta under the same old overused pretext of plastic surgery. But reportedly, the audiences did not like the same old dragged formula of the surgery and ratings fell drastically. There is also a buzz that the show might go off air soon.

Dill Mill Gayye

This popular STAR One show has taken a leap of mere six months but has made some drastic changes in its story line. There are now five new interns at Sanjeevni while the old interns become resident doctors. The second season introduces five new interns: Dr. Siddhant Modi, Dr. Tamanna Patil, Dr. Naina Mehra, Dr. Yuvraaj and Dr. Jitendra Prasad. While Dr. Riddhima Gupta, Dr. Armaan Mallik, Dr. Shashank Gupta, Dr. Atul Joshi and Dr. Anjali Gupta continue playing important roles.

Dr. Siddhant and Dr. Riddhima have many misunderstanding and are constantly fighting. But eventually this love-hate relationship of theirs leads to marriage. This new twist had very good responses from the audiences. And Dr. Arman, who was initially missing from the picture after the leap, was brought back on audience demand. The fans went crazy with Armaan’s return. They are all very happy to see him and are eager to know what will happen next. The show is obviously getting an excellent response and its TRPs are soaring.
