Reality shows are the best platform to showcase one's talents. Prachi Desai

A small girl with big dreams and the will to achieve those dreams. Prachi Desai was passionate about acting since childhood. She started off with a short modeling workshop. At the young age of 17, she was offered the role of ‘Bani’ in the serial Kasamh Se by Balaji Telefilms. This role was life changing for her. She immediately shot to fame and won many tele awards for the best actress. Her amazing chemistry with on-screen husband Ram Kapoor also won her many admirers.

In 2007, she participated in the Sony Entertainment Television’s Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 2 and was declared winner after her comeback through the wildcard entry round. Her popularity with the Indian masses helped her bag a role in Farhan Akhtar’s super hit movie Rock On! which served as her entry ticket to Bollywood. Her second movie was Life Partner with well-known stars like Govinda and Fardeen Khan. She is currently working on Once Upon a Time in Mumbai which will release in 2010.

Shreya Ghosal

Born in a Bengali Hindu family with a strong academic background, Ghosal started her formal training in Hindustani classical music at the age of four. She participated in and won the Zee TV’s children’s special episode of Sa Re Ga Ma. She caught the attention of film director Sanjay Leela Bhansali when she participated in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa for the second time, this time competing as an adult.

In 2000, he offered her the opportunity to be the voice of Paro, the lead female character of his film Devdas for which she won a Filmfare award as the best female playback singer. With this, began her melodious career in Bollywood and she has now worked in as many as 140 films. She has worked with many prominent Indian musicians, and several of her songs have achieved critical and commercial success.

Shakti Mohan

IAS aspirant, Shakti Mohan was a topper in school and determined to achieve her goals. But instead of becoming a bureaucrat, she ended up becoming a sensation in the dancing world. She is trained in contemporary dance and had enrolled for a three-year diploma course in dance at the institute of choreographer Terrence Lewis.

She has also expressed her desire to go abroad and study dance more seriously. Bollywood too is on Shakti's agenda and she has already grabbed an offer to feature in a promotional video for choreographer-director Farah Khan's next movie Tees Maar Khan starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif.

Sunidhi Chauhan

Sunidhi is an Indian playback singer mostly known for her Bollywood songs. She started singing at the age of four. She won recognition through a televised singing contest on Doordarshan, Meri Awaz Suno, which she won, and made her entry into playback singing with the Hindi film, Shastra.

She shot to fame at the age of thirteen when she sang the hit song ‘Ruki Ruki Si Zindagi’ along with three other songs, in Ram Gopal Varma’s Mast starring Urmila Matondkar and Aftab Shivdasani. By the age of nineteen, Chauhan had already lent her voice to over 350 songs. She has won awards for her famous songs Dhoom and Beedi Jalaile and has also won the R. D. Burman Award for Most Promising Newcomer in 2001.
