So significant is the role of a great body that even an actor-star like Aamir Khan has developed a sizzling set of eight-pack abs for his forthcoming flick. Known to be someone with a very special built, Sanjay Dutt has now lost 26 kgs to flaunt an eight-pack for his upcoming film Blue.

Despite being the heartthrob of millions worldwide, Shah Rukh Khan has added many more young fans to his list with his hard-as-a-rock body in Om Shanti Om. Hrithik Roshan continues to work on his Greek God-like physique, while John Abraham is that rare guy who has created 'ripples' on the screen with his merely bare body.

Even superstars like SRK and Aamir, who are in their 40s, know how much of an impact a great body can make today. Almost every new guy trying to script a success story has a built — if not the acting prowess — to write home about. If someone like Salman Khan has new followers, it is largely because his body is close to absolute perfection.

Six and eight-packs have floored many. Hear Mugdha Godse, who says, "It's the best thing. It's great to show a hard, toned body. When stars make the effort, a lot of people follow the trend. We should have more women flaunting their abs on screen." What, according to her, is the ideal physique? "Eight-packs are great. For me, even six or fourpacks will do," she says.

In today's times, what we are getting to see is some kind of a balancing act. If Priyanka Chopra took one's breath away because of the way she looked in Dostana, John Abraham's body fetched much higher marks with women. Vidya Malvade agrees, saying, "The girls love it. It fantastic to see toned bodies like Aamir or John's on screen. I'm more of a 'back' fan. I liked Shah Rukh's back in Om Shanti Om."
