Praveen Ingale and Kiran Sutwane won Star Plus's "Aajaa Mahi Vay" Reality show

Recently broke the news about the appearance of actress Karisma Kapoor and singer turned actor Himesh Reshammiya as celebrity guests for the grand finale of the reality show on Star Plus Aajaa Mahi Vay.

According to our sources, the three finalists Aslam Qureshi-Mayuree Chaddha, Pravin Ingale-Kiran Sutwane and Tahira Bhasin-Jashan Pratap Singh Kohli gave some stupendous and outstanding performances. But as they say, at the end of every show, there is only one winner. And after weeks of toiling, the couple that not only won the hearts of the judges, but their dream wedding too is Pravin Ingale and Kiran Sutwane. Along with that the couple also won the prize money of 15 lakhs.

First and second runners – up were Jashan Preet Singh Kohli –Tahir Bhasin and Aslam Qureshi – Mayuree Chaddha.

About the show:

• Aajaa Mahi Vay was an Indian television dance reality show that premiered on August 1, 2008 on STAR Plus channel and completed on October 12, 2008. Aaja Mahi Vay - Prem Ki Agni Pareeksha was a dance show with a difference, where the contestants are committed, real life couples, who compete to win the wedding of their dreams. The show was biweekly and aired on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00PM IST. Featured performances from all the couples divided over the two days, with appeals for votes in the first week. Thereafter, the top three couples, who had competed for prizes such as refrigerators, microwave ovens, home theater systems – appliances which came in handy for starting a domestic life together on each Friday. There were three compatibility games in which their companionship and commitment was judged.
• This was followed by the elimination of a couple with the least amount of votes. The Saturday episode was featured dance performances of the contesting couples, with appeals for votes at the end of each performance. Voting was opened from the end of the episode until the next week's Friday episode. Results are calculated by adding votes by viewers and judges. Both are given equal value. The hosts were Rahul Vaidya and Vineet Singh. The Judges were Ronit Roy, Apara Mehta, Shweta Tiwari, Saroj Khan.

Earlier : The Federation of Western India Cine Employees Strike has not only affected our daily shows, but also the Grand Finale of Star Plus’ Aajaa Mahi Vay-Pyaar Ki Agnipareeksha that was to be aired on October 5th. Instead, the finale which will culminate with a Dream Wedding of the Winning Couple will now be held on October 12th.

According to our source, “The three finalists Aslam Qureshi-Mayuree Chaddha, Pravin Ingale-Kiran Sutwane and Tahira Bhasin-Jashan Pratap Singh Kohli have not been able to rehearse at all owing to the strike, so they are now on a Navratri pandal visiting spree to practice their steps”. The guest for the Grand Finale was to be the gorgeous Priyanka Chopra, but now with the delay in shoot, all stands still. “We need to check out whether Priyanka can give us another date; if not, we will have to choose some other celebrity for the finale next week”, says our source.

In the meanwhile, this Saturday will have the dancing dolls Aamir Ali-Sanjeeda Sheikh as well as the very much in love couple, Juhi Parmar-Sachin Shroff as special guests and they will be seen setting the stage on fire.


A witness from the sets says, “Juhi and Sachin just could not stop seeing each other and were blushing all thro’ their performance. The romantic couple took nearly three hours to shoot for the song, but their chemistry was very much visible in their act”. And finally the winners are Praveen Ingale and Kiran Sutwan.
