Blue

2009 hasn't been a great year for Bollywood films. We take a look at some mega budget expectations that did not make the cut in the box office.

God alone knows how much the audience hated this movie. This 'Blue' was a colossal waste of resources by director Anthony D'Souza. Even though the film had AR Rahman's one of the best song 'Bhoola Tujhe', the film was not liked by the audiences. The movie was another of Bollywood's criminal waste of resources.

Kurbaan

Despite the complex matrix of number crunching, it was accepted that 'Kurbaan' would hardly recover its money. So will it compete with 'Blue' for the honour of the flop of the decade? The tragedy about 'Kurbaan's box-office performance was the loose plot of the film. The film had the best of names, Karan Johar, Anurag Kashyap and Rensil D'Silva. Also some hot scenes between the real-life couple Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. But nothing could save it from sinking at the BO.

What's Your Rashee?

Making an exodus from epic movies like 'Lagaan' and 'Jodha Akbar', Ashutosh Gowariker couldn't sustain his magic on sliver screen in 'What's Your Rashee'. It's a long movie with some wonderful performances but lacks the silken touch from the story teller. A Guinness book entry for twelve roles couldn't rescue this lengthy and repetitive plot.

Jail

'Jail', promoted mainly as critically-acclaimed director Madhur Bhandarkar's film, was strangely rejected by the audiences. Like every other Bhandarkar film, 'Jail' started off on a slow note, but was expected to pick up. Unfortunately, this formula didn't work for Madhur this time.

'De Dana Dan'

Akshay Kumar's 'De Dana Dan' had opened to a good response at the box office, but failed to retain the charm for long. The hopes were really high with the hit jodi of Akki-Paresh-Suniel. But this time the trio disappointed viewers.
