What role are you playing in the Bingo Night show?
“I am Abhishek’s buddy or his co-host. My name in the show is Ali Baba, sounds interesting right. Abhishek gave me this unique name. It is fun to entertain both, the studio audience and the home viewers at the same time. If you look at the international concept there is no place for me but I am here for the Indian version of National Bingo Night.”

What was the reason you agreed to do this show?
“Earlier when the makers had come to me with this topic, I was not that sure because I haven’t seen the international version of Bingo Night but later I felt this would be totally a different experience and now I am enjoying this show.”


Share with us your experience of shooting with Abhishek Bachchan?
“It’s totally different and amazing to see this man as a host. His behaviour is so different that no one would believe that he is the son of Amitabh Bachchan. He is down-to-earth and a fun loving person and would never delay the shoot. Even offsets he calls me Ali Baba, as I am his Bingo buddy, so know with this show, people will like our Jodi. I was surprised when he told me that he has seen some of my films and shows.”

So now, which Bachchan you would want to work with?
“I think I have worked with the entire Bachchan family already and now only Mrs.Jaya Bachchan is left. I want to work with her because I have worked with Big B during the days of Kaun Banega Cororepati, in which I was a contestant, and then I have worked with Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan in Josh and now with Abhishek.”

Tell us something about the Celebrity episodes?
“Its difficult to say which my is favourite, but I can say that all the episodes right from the Balika Vadhu kids, to Kirron Kher, from Deepika Padukone to Arshad Warsi were great. Every celebrity was enjoying shooting the show and even the home audience will enjoy all these episodes.”






Future projects?
“Its too early comment on my both films and TV shows as I would like to comment on it in a few weeks time.”

About the show:

• National Bingo Night is an Indian game show, based on the American game show of the same name, produced by Urban Brew Studios which schedule to premiere on Colors TV on 23 January 2010.
• The show is hosted by Indian actor Abhishek Bachchan. The first celebrity guest on the show was Amitabh Bachchan, the father of the show's host.
• National Bingo Night is marketed as an interactive experience for both the studio audience and viewers at home. Members of the studio audience attempted to win a game of bingo while competing against a solo studio contestant as well as live television audience.

Format, How to Pay:

• In each episode, two fast-paced, rounds of BINGO are played. The contestant plays one of many in-studio games, which is driven by the game ball numbers (1-75). The nation can play alongside the studio contestant by crossing out the numbers on their own 'National Bingo Night' tickets.
• Each Ticket is only applicable for the Game number specified on it. Every episode of the Game Show will have two games: a Yellow Ticket Game and a Green Ticket Game. The host announces the game number and colour of the ticket to be played on at the beginning of each Game. The home viewer has to circle the numbers announced by the host that are taken out of the dome, if they appear on their ticket.
  
• Viewers are instructed not to poke a hole in their tickets, or scratch out or strike-through the numbers. All the balls/numbers that are taken out will be displayed on the television screen from time to time during the game.
