After the completion of two successful seasons, Aap Ki Kachehri comes back in its third season with new hopes and a promise for a better society. The show deals with real life people and offers open hearings of civil disputes and a compassionate yet firm and lawful mediation and arbitration by Dr. Kiran Bedi. This journey from the despair of dispute to hopeful resolution is laden with the promise of fascinating insights into human behavior and values of our society today, along with promoting a better understanding of our laws and rights. Whether it is a combination of real life drama and emotions and/or legal awareness, there is something refreshing in the show for every viewer.

In its third season, Aap Ki Kachehri extended its reach with “Aap Ki Kachehri –Aap Ke Dwaar” which was a door-to-door campaign in a few major cities across India. Aap Ki Kachehri helped many of them through mediation and legal guidance and helped in resolving many cases on the spot while few of the cases will be dealt with in the show. This season of Aap Ki Kachehri promises to its viewers a slice of life from every corner of the country, a wide range of civil issues and a hope to make a better tomorrow.

Star Plus’ Aap Ki Kachehri, produced by Big Synergy, is arguably a path breaking show in the history of television where the aggrieved parties discuss their issues and discontent inorder to reach a consent, before moving the court of law.

Season one and two of the show were hosted by epitome of valour, law and order, former IPS officer Dr. Kiran Bedi who passed her judgment after hearing the version of the two parties. Where season one launched on December 1, 2008, which aired at 10:30 pm got the TRP charts soaring, season two which hot the airwaves in August, 2009, couldn’t retain its position on the TRP charts. Some blamed it on the timing of the show. AKK 2 aired at 8:00 pm in its season two. And now we hear that the channel has approached the production house to make the season three of the show. The show is expected to launch in November this year.

Informs our source, “Star Plus has approached the production house for the third season of the show and in all likelihood it will launch in November. It is going to be a capsule of 65 episodes and will air five days a week. Once everything falls in place, we will commence the shoot.”

When contacted, Anita Kaul Basu, director Big Synergy said, “I don’t wish to comment on it as its too early. The have just given the nod and we have started working on it. I don’t know when they will be launching the show.”

Time again to watch an earnest Ms. Bedi take the hot seat and solve our domestic issues.

Aap Ki Kacheri is back again on small screen but with a new and innovative technique to reach the audience...


The show brought hopes, smiles and restored harmony in the lives of many with justice in the first two seasons of the much acclaimed show-Aap Ki Kachehri; The first quarter of year 2011, will see Kiran Bedi take on the television screen once again, adviced by experts, on what has been the original and undisputed platform for swift and decisive forum of Alternate Dispute Redressal- Aap Ki Kachehri.



Encouraged with the success and based on the credible format of 'Aap ki Kachehri', Star India launches a nationwide campaign that invites members of the public to come and voice their real-life issues in order to get constructive resolution for the same, in their own city. Star India embarks on this large scale a community outreach programme called 'Aap Ki Kachehri, Aap Ke Dwaar', with an aim to take entertainment beyond television and connect with its viewers. The first leg of this campaign which further reiterates the channel's brand-promise 'Rishta Wahi, Soch Nayi' will be flagged-off in Delhi on December 17th, followed by Indore and Mumbai. This will be a prelude to Aap Ki Kachehri - Season 3 that will aim to reach people and touch lives.

The inaugural campaign in Delhi is expected to be attended by eminent personalities comprising -Additional Solicitor General and the architect of Domestic Violence Act of India- Ms. Indira Jaisingh; National Commission for Women (NCW), Chairperson- Dr. Girija Vyas , and National Secretary All India BJP & Former Mayor Delhi- Ms. Arti Mehra.

'Aap ki Kachehri - Aap ke Dwaar Mediation Camps' will be open to the general public. At these camps, relevant information, referrals, trained counselors and qualified mediators will be accessible for patient hearing and fair & fast mediation of the conflicted individuals and disputing parties, thereby providing them with quick and inexpensive resolution through alternate dispute redressal (ADR). For this initiative, STAR India will partner with organizations like National Commission for Women, Mahila Dakshata Samiti, Navjyoti, SAVIGYA, and other NGOs which are already active in the field of counseling. The nature of these cases would be based on civil issues which include property, marital, family and similar other disputes. Some of these cases which need detailed research and specific legal references would also be taken up on the television show Aap Ki Kachehri in future.
