3 Idiots The iconic school at '3 Idiots' apparently has been destroyed in the natural calamity. And the Pangong Lake where the last scene of the movie was shot, is now only muck filled. Aamir Khan expressed his anguish recently in his blog "...very shocked and distressed to hear about the school we shot in Leh for 3 Idiots. Trying to get in touch with the Principal. I suppose the communications are down too. |

Lakshya Farhan Akhtar's 'Lakshya' which is based on the Kargil might have got mixed responses due to various reasons. But the part of the movie shot in Ladakh portrays almost the real picture of the scenic as well as the harsh locales. |

Frozen 'Frozen' is a black and white experimental film that was extensively shot in Ladakh. The lead roles were earlier offered to Naseeruddin Shah and Om Puri but both of them turned it down. Om Puri had just returned from Ladakh as he was part of 'Lakshya', and he was so bogged down by the harsh climatic conditions there and hence refused another film to be shot in Ladakh. And finally Danny Denzongpa agreed to do the film. |
