Suresh Raina is an Indian cricketer, who is a left-handed middle-order batsman and an occasional off-spin bowler. He made his ODI debut against Srilanka in 2005 and Test debut in 2010 opposite the same country. In 2011, India has won the World Cup and Suresh was one of the team members. He is also the highest run-getter and has taken the highest catches in Indian premier league (IPL). He represented India at the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.

Biography

Suresh Raina was born on 27 November 1986 in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. He has completed his B.Com graduation with correspondence from Delhi University. At a very small age of 15 years, he took up cricket seriously and shifted to Lucknow to attend the specialist government Sports College. As 'Hard work never fails', just after two years, he was selected for U-19 tour to England for test matches. There he scored two half centuries. This started a beautiful shine in his career. He continued to play several matches and subsequently won many. He was then awarded a Border-Gavaskar scholarship to train at the Australian Cricket Academy.
