Omkareshwar temple in Madhya Pradesh
Omkareshwar Temple is located on an island that roughly looks like the “Om” symbol. The island is located on Narmada River, near the confluence of Narmada and Kaveri. The temple is one of the twelve jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. It already is a significant pilgrimage point for Hindus, but the number of visitors ascends especially during Mahashivratri.
