Ranbir Kapoor is a carefree guy fresh out of college with no goals and ambition. He has a doting mother, Supriya Pathak who tries really hard to know him and gel with him. Due to her lack of knowledge, language and manner of talking she doesn't fit in with the younger generation and hence Ranbir avoids her. In spite of all that she does for him, he doesn't show her respect.
