The Shiv Sena party workers took offense to his statements and threatened to vandalise the poster of 'My Name Is Khan' and more. Things became worse when there were reports of SRK giving a performance in Bangladesh. The political activists of the group banned the film from screening in theaters and tore down the hoardings of 'My Name Is Khan'.
