TOP 10 ICONIC Jodis of Indian Television Shows EVER

Our television screens have had some of the most iconic couples and many of us still remember them as their character names. While we have loved seeing them together back when they were co-stars, all we wish right now is to have them back on our TV screens. And since the last time our prayers were heard when we wished for Arjun Bijlani and Drasthi Dhami to be cast opposite each other, we have a wish list yet again. And this time around, there's not much we are asking for. All we want is our favourite jodis to come back for a new show.
Here's our list in Detailed:
1. Drashti Dhami and Gurmeet Choudhary
- Theirs has been one of the biggest hits that one could imagine. Geet Hui Sabse Parayi did immensely well and it had us all in awe of this duo.
- Drashti as Geet Handa, a docile innocent girl and Gurmeet as Maan Singh Khurana are characters that are still freshly etched in our minds and hearts.
2. Barun Sobti and Sanaya Irani
- SaRun, as the fans call them, as Khushi and Arnav are two characters that created history with their portrayal in Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon.
- While their chemistry was much appreciated and looked upon, the duo gave a new meaning to love stories on our TV screens as theirs became a benchmark for the shows to come.
3. Hiten Tejwani and Gauri Pradhan Tejwani
- The two played very strong characters in the show, however, their relationship, on-screen, was a love-hate relationship which was yet another hit with the masses.
- A concept which has been seen on our screens time and again, with Kutumb, it indeed did go a notch higher.
4. Jennifer Winget and Karan Wahi
- Jennifer as Dr. Riddhima and Karan as Dr. Siddhant were yet again, one of those couples who were loved despite the quintessential pairing of her and Karan Singh Grover in the first season.
- How things gradually culminated between them was what seemed to have been portrayed very well.
5. Karan Kundrra and Kritika Kamra
- Karan as Arjun Punj and Kritika as Aarohi Sharma had an on-screen chemistry that spread like wildfire. And, it was only around the same time that their on-screen love was also seen off-screen.
- Things, however, did not work out for the duo and they are great friends till date. But, we are sure we haven't yet forgotten the two as Arjun and Aarohi.
6. Varun Badola and Sangeeta Ghosh
- Varun as Dev Malik and Sangeeta as Parminder Singh in Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand is a totally unconventional story of how destiny plays a major role in every love story.
- And, we have to say this, the two of them had a chemistry which was adored and received a lot adulation.
7. Karan Patel and Shubhangi Atre
- Fans were left heartbroken as they saw Karan aka Robbie and Shubhangi aka Kastrui in Star Plus' popular show, Kasturi tore apart.
- They were hell bent on bringing them back together but that never happened. And now that all of it is a thing of the past, all we can do is wish to bring them back.
8. Arjun Bijlani and Rati Pandey
- Arjun as Mayank and Rati as Nupur in Miley Jab Hum Tum had all of us in awe.
- Though we loved Samrat (Mohit Sehgal) and Gunjan (Sanaya Irani) equally as much, we loved Mayank and Nupur more given the knok jhok that they had and of course, how they both never ever ran out of issues to fight upon. But, alas, love overpowered!
8. Iqbal Khan and Neha Bamb
- Iqbal aka Angad Khanna and Neha aka Kripa in Kaisa Yeh Pyar Hai brought for us the perfect story of a rockstar hero and a naive small town girl.
- Popularly known as the DDLJ of TV, this one was a classic show with one of the classiest couples.
9. Aamna Shariff and Rajeev Khandelwal
- With Aamna as Kashish and Rajeev as Sujjal, Kahiin To Hoga became a super hit, courtesy their sizzling chemistry in the show.
- They have been looked up to be one of the cutest and yet hottest pairs of all times.
10. Harshad Chopra and Additi Gupta
- Harshad as Prem and Additi as Heer in Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil became the news sensation as theirs was the kind of chemistry that was not only loved by the fans but also even went on to become the kind post which fans DEMANDED their pairing in every show that was helmed by Ekta Kapoor.
- And right now, we think you guys are already on a spree to text Ekta yet again!
