“Sri Chandi Kumara Anantha Maha Ganapathi” is the theme name for khairatabad 2021 Ganpati Idol and the year 2017 will mark the 63rd year of the Khairatabad Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations.

The 2021 Khairatabad Ganesh Idol is made by artisan (shilpi) Chinnaswamy Rajendran.

The 2021 Khairatabad Ganesh Vigraha or Murti is a Ganesha idol having 12-headed snake in the background. The portrayals of Goddess Chandi and Lord Subrahmanya Swamy (Kumara swamy) are also placed on each side of the Ganesha idol.

The 2021 Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations will begin on August 25, 2021 and conclude on September 5, 2021 with Ananta Chaturdashi Ganesh Nimajjanam. Every day during these 11 days Aarti of Khairatabad Ganesha Idol is peformed twice a day and it is Webcast LIVE on official website of Khairatabad Ganesha. The approximate weight of the idol comes to around 17 tonnes out of steel comprises around 12 tonnes while weight of the plaster of Paris and clay is roughly around 5 tonnes.

The weight of the laddu that is being kept in the hand of this idol will be nearly 4 tonnes. This laddu is later on distributed to devotees as a prashad.
However, three months prior to Ganesh Chathurthi, the construction of the idol begins and around 200 workers lead by an sculpturist works day and night for three months to construct this idol and below you can see what the final idol looks like.
