Flaky Pastry Crust (French Recipes)
 

Prep Time: 30 minutes or less | Cook Time: 1 - 2 hours | Serves: 12

Ingredients:

2 1/4 c. flour
1 stick unsalted cold ****er
1 egg
1/3 c. ice cold water
1 tbsp. regular vinegar

In a small bowl beat the egg. Add in the vinegar and cold water.

In a separate bowl or the food processor, combine the cold ****er (cut in small pieces) with the flour until it resembles a coarse meal.

Add in the wet ingredients and mix until just incorporated.

Put the dough mix in a well floured surface and knead for a couple of seconds just to bring everything together and form into a dough. Do not over work it! Wrap with plastic and chill for 1 hour at least.
