Today the world is celebrating World Toilet Day, an official United Nations International observance day that is celebrated on November 19. The day is celebrated to raise awareness about the global sanitation crisis. World Toilet Day is a call to action for people to take healthy steps towards healthy living and proper sanitation. World Toilet Day was established in 2001 by World Toilet Organization. The notion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a special interest in World Toilet Day as he has propagated the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan under which he aimed to provide and build toilets in the country so that the sanitation problem can be met adequately.
