Upcoming Star Plus mythological show, 'Namah' ropes in ensemble cast

The show is all set to go on floors soon...

Star Plus continues to have a couple of show holding the mantle well for themselves as the channel is topping the channel charts even though not many of their shows are in the Top 5. And hence, we are sure they would like to rectify that and have more shows getting better. And if we have one genre that seems to work almost every time then that is of mythology.

On that note, the channel is all set to present yet another mega show soon in the form of Namah. The casting of the show has been on for a while now and has roped in several actors to play important characters. Playing the titular role will be Gurpreet Singh as Lord Shiva along with Zalak Desai, Raviz Thakur, and Hemant Choudhary also a part of the show.

And now joining the cast is none other than actor Shivendraa Om Saainiyol, who will play the character of Nandi in the show.

Namah is produced by Shoonya Square and will also star actresses Chhavi Pandey, Neha Sargam and Sara Khan in pivotal roles.

Porus fame Raviz Thakur roped in for Star Plusí Namah

MUMBAI: The talented actor Raviz Thakur, who rose to fame with Sony TVís Porus, has bagged a new show.

Producer Ved Raj is working on his next big mythological project titled Namah for Star Plus.

According to our sources, Raviz has been locked to play the villain in the show. He will be seen portraying the character of Kalyug.

As per media reports Namah will star Gurpreet Singh the titular role of Lord Shiva. The show will also feature actors like Chhavi Pandey, Neha Nargam and Sara Khan in pivotal roles.

Initially, makers had locked Hatim fame Rajbeer Singh as Shiva, Charu Asopa as Goddess Laxmi and Marathi actress Reshma Shinde as Goddess Parvati.

However, as the project got postponed the actors took up other work and now makers have finalized whole new cast.

Namah on Star Plus: Savi Thakur, Neha Sargam, Chhavi Pandey, Sara Khan join the cast

The show which is slated to be part of the weekend programming on Star Plus will be a biweekly show.Earlier in the day, we reported big about actor Gurpreet Singh being finalized to play the lead role of Shiva in Namah. Handsome and good-looking Savi Thakur who was seen in Zee TV’s show Sethji has bagged the prominent role of Lord Vishnu in the show. As we know Namah the mythological will talk about the bonding of Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu. And it will be Savi joining Gurpreet for the lead role.

Moving to the other cast, actress Neha Sargam who is currently seen in Paramavatar Shri Krishna and has a good track record of playing mythological roles has been chosen for the role of Goddess Laxmi. Chhavi Pandey yet another gorgeously talented actress who is seen in Ladies Special will play the role of Goddess Parvati. We also hear of popular actress Sara Khan of Bidaai fame joining the elite cast for a negative role on the show.

Wow!! The cast indeed looks big and the show on Star Plus holds a lot of expectations!! We buzzed the actors but could not get through for a comment.
