Clearly, the sleek, fitter Simbu has got a thumbs up from fans. The person behind this transformation has to be Mani Ratnam. Reports suggest the actor has begun shooting for this multi-starrer. Mani Ratnam’s film now titled – Chekka Chivantha Vaanam’ is already one of the most anticipated films down south. Apart from Mani Ratnam helming the project, the ensemble cast is another exciting factor for fans. Simbu, Arvind Swamy, Jyothika, Vijay Sethupathi, Aishwarya Rajesh, Aditi Rao Hydari have teamed up for this movie. The rich and varied cast is already a crowd puller. Reports suggest the film is about four brothers played by Simbu, Arjun, Vijay and Arvind. It will be interesting to see how these four talented actors complement each other. According to rumours, the film’s theme will be based on the industrial revolution. The movie will be produced by Madras Talkies and Lyca productions. The first poster and title was unveiled on February 9th. Ar Rahman and Mani Ratnam are coming together yet again for this film. This film already holds promise as a fabulous director, varied cast and a musical maestro come together for the first time.
Mani Ratnam’s last release was Kaatru Veliyidai starring Karthi and Aditi Rao Hydari. The film was a love story set against the Air Force. While the movie was lauded for its picturesque scenes, it opened to mixed reviews on release.
