Diya Sana was born in the year 1992 who blows her birthday candles on 4 April every year. She was born in Ernakulam, Kerala and raised in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. She attended the Adarsh Senior Secondary School, Chennai and did her college studies from reputed colleges– Crescent Engineering College, Vandalur, Tamil Nadu and RLV College of Music and Fine Arts, Kerala. She loves to do social works since her childhood. She is very hardworking.

She was born into the Muslim middle class family to her father Shajahan and mother Shamna Shajahan. In an interview, she shared that she is in an open relationship but did not reveal a guy name whom she is committed.
Career

Diya Sana started working as a social activist since her young age. She become the gender rights activist and joined the transgender district justice committee in Thiruvananthapuram. She organised many campaigns for transgenders and as a result, her efforts and campaign for the LGBT community are well appreciated.

Controversy

In 2018, Diya was highly abused on social media when she joined the Bare Chest Campaign along model Rehan Fathima. She posted the pictures of her by holding the watermelon while Rehana was holding the two watermelons infront of her breast wheras in another picture Rehana showed her bare-chested, hiding her face with a watermelon.
