Haq Se review: All we can say after watching this Rajeev Khandelwal-Surveen Chawla drama is ‘Thank you Ekta Kapoor!’

Breathe review: R Madhavan and Amit Sadh’s crime thriller will change the digital content scene for the better

Vodka Diaries movie review: Kay Kay Menon’s ****** mystery turns out to be a predictable psychological thriller
http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...s-2.5-star.jpg |
Padmaavat movie review: Ranveer Singh’s menacing Khilji act leaves you transfixed in this epic film
Verdict Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film is a visual delight and thoroughly entertaining fare, courtesy the epic performance by Ranveer Singh. It talks about Rajput pride and there is nothing that will offend anyone. At least, I couldn’t find anything that can be termed offensive in anyway. And there is no dream sequence between Khilji and Padmavati. http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...ovieReview.jpg |
Pad Man movie review: Akshay Kumar delivers one of his finest performance in a film that breaks social taboos and stereotypes with finesse
Pad Man deserves a special mention simply because it got made. A subject that’s hushed up even in urban India got a mainstream treatment by a popular actor-director team. And that itself is a reason why a film like this deserves extra attention. http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...Padman-1-1.jpg |
Love Per Square Foot movie review: Angira Dhar and Vicky Kaushal’s romantic-comedy hits home
However, if you are not a sucker for romance, you can avoid Love Per Square Foot. http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont....5-Stars-1.jpg What to do If you are a love bug, Love Per Square Foot will certainly tug at your heartstrings and make you feel giddy. It is the perfect romantic film that we were waiting for. It is the cutest film that has released in the longest time. However, if you are not a sucker for romance, you might want to avoid it. Rating Rating: 3.5 out of 5http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...-ratings_7.png |
Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety movie review: Kartik Aaryan, Nushrat Bharucha, Sunny Singh’s film suffers from the curse of second half
http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...8/02/SKTKS.jpg It has plenty of laughs in the first half but suffers from the curse of the second half. If you swear by Luv Ranjan’s brand of comedy – Pyaar Ka Punchnama series – you will have a good time watching Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. Other than that don’t RSVP to this version of My Best Friend’s Wedding. |
Welcome To New York movie review: Diljit Dosanjh-Sonakshi Sinha and Karan Johar’s award film is not a rewarding watch

http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...o-new-york.jpg Accept this invitation only if you are really out of your mind or want to **** some time, literally. By the time you walk out of the film you would have lost track of all that is sensible in the world. Consider yourself forewarned. Rating: 1.5 out of 5http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...-ratings_3.png
|
Pari movie review: Anushka Sharma and Parambrata Chatterjee’s horror drama is no fairy tale for the faint-hearted
http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...Pari-4Star.jpg What To Do: If you love horror then Pari is a fitting tribute to the genre. I suggest sleeping with the lights on if you end up watching a late night show ! Yes, it’s that good. Rating: 4 out of 5http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...-ratings_8.png |
Hate Story 4 movie review: Neither a thriller, nor an erotica, there is a lot to hate in this chapter of the franchise
The movie is overloaded with skin-show that flops with the slipshod writing http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...Hate-Story.jpg Back in 2005, my entire school was talking about Aashiq Banaya Aapne. Of course, it was impossible for anyone of us to actually watch the scenes and songs on the big screen, given our age at the time. Imagine the wait of 13 years to watch the title track on the big screen as it has been reprised for the latest release Hate Story 4. Yep! They made a fourth one. Has the sensuality quotient increased in anyway in the past one decade? Here is how the movie went. What to do Don’t give the makers any more reasons to make another erotic thriller! Skip it. |
Dil Juunglee movie review: Saqib Saleem and Taapsee Pannu’s film is a love story without a soul
Here is our review of Dil Juunglee which has hit the theatres today http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...-junglee-2.jpg What to do? Dil Juunglee lacks the intensity, which could make it rise above the mundane. The actors are in good form but that is about it. If you want to **** time and see some gorgeous visuals of London, the film should suffice. Rating: 1.5 out of 5http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...-ratings_3.pngDil Juunglee is about the daughter of an Anglo-Indian business magnate who falls in love with a middle class aspiring actor from Delhi’s Lajpatnagar. Due to parental opposition, they decide to elope but do not have a happily ever after. After a few years, they meet and reconnect. Will they give their failed love story a second shot? What happens next is the crux of this rather predictable love story. |
Baa Baaa Black Sheep review: Maneish Paul and Manjari Fadnis’ comic thriller is a mishmash of lame gags and poor performances
Well, throughout the narration, there is no reference to any cinema of any era.
http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...Blacksheeo.jpg The opening frame of the film states, “Dedicated to the cinema of my growing up years”. Well, throughout the narration, there is no reference to any cinema of any era. So you can just imagine the outcome. Planned as a comic thriller with a staid plot and a bit of romance, the film seems stuck in some kind of time-space warp. Set in Goa with drugs, art forgery, local mafia and politicians thrown in for ample measure, it is the story of an unconventional contract ****er. Mounted with moderate production values, the production designs are appropriate and realistic. The visuals by Amalendu Chaudhary’s lens are clear and sharp but Bakul Matiyani’s editing is a bit slack. Transitions in certain scenes are clumsily handled. Shaan, Roshan Balu and Gourov Dasgupta’s background score and music are run of the mill. The song with the lyrics, “Heer, Heera” in Punjabi is an aberration in the narrative. Overall, “Baa Baaa Black Sheep” fails to engage you. Rating: *1/2
|
Hichki review: Rani Mukerji delivers a sparkling performance in this meaningful film
Hichki Review: Rani Mukerji sparkles in every scene and is joined by a group of effervescent child actors who will make you laugh and frown with them
http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont.../Hitchki-1.jpg After a gap of three years, Rani Mukerji is back on the big screen with Siddharth P Malhotra’s Hichki. The film is based on Brad Cohen’s book, Front of the Class : how Tourette Syndrome Made Me the Teacher I Never Had. Films based on student-teacher relationships are hardly made in Bollywood. The last notable film was, of course, Aamir Khan’s Taare Zameen Par. In Hichki, Rani Mukerji aka Naina Mathur is a young woman who aspires to become a teacher as it was a professor who helped her build her confidence as a child suffering from Tourette’s Syndrome. The film also throws light on the drawbacks of the conventional educational system and how learning is not limited to the classrooms. Verdict Hichki might be a tad predictable and not as emotional as a Taare Zameen Par but it is a very well-meaning film that has its heart in the right place. It is an insight into how a good teacher can make a difference for a lifetime.
|
Baaghi 2 review: Tiger Shroff-Disha Patani’s film saves itself from becoming just another whodunnit by turning into a full-fledged action fest
Baaghi 2 review: Some whistle-worthy dialogues and some well-choreographed action scenes, make Baaghi 2 a decent watch http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...hi-2-3star.jpg What to do? Some whistle-worthy dialogues that will remind you of Sunny Deol and some well-choreographed action scenes, make Baaghi 2 a decent watch. However, if you don’t get high on seeing an unbelievably ripped Tiger Shroff take on an entire army of baddies, you can give this one a miss. Rating: 3.0 out of 5http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...-ratings_6.png |
Missing movie review: Tabu and Manoj Bajpayee’s film shines in parts but is letdown by amateurish writing
Want to watch Missing? Check out our review before you do so! http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...-1_5-stars.jpg Verdict Missing keeps you hooked but it is largely due to the camerawork, crisp editing and Tabu and Annu Kapoor’s performance. The film is let down by bad dialogues. While Mukul has succeeded in building some truly suspenseful scenes, the film loses steam in the last 15 minutes. At the climax, you know what to expect but the treatment isn’t bad. It leaves you unsatisfied thinking it could be have been a lot better. Rating: 1.5 out of 5http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...-ratings_3.png Suspense thrillers are rare in Bollywood, so every time we see a promising trailer lovers of the genre like me flock to the theatres. Missing is a thriller about the disappearance of a little girl in a posh hotel in Mauritius. Does she get reunited with her parents? What is her real story? These are the points the film explores in the form of an investigative thriller. Missing is directed by Mukul Abhyankar and stars Manoj Bajpayee, Tabu and Annu Kapoor in lead roles. |
Blackmail movie review
Blackmail movie review: Irrfan Khan delights in an equally brilliant film that can be the textbook definition of dark comedies
Watching Blackmail is like riding a roller-coaster, you don't know as to what will happen next http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont.../Blackmail.jpg What to do Watching Blackmail is like riding a roller-coaster, you don’t know as to what will happen next but the mere thrill of it is enough to make you hop on. With so much amusement, it is no wonder that you don’t want the ride to end. It would be criminal to miss this one. An absolute must-watch! We, in Bollywood, make a habit of fusing genres together. The audience is also to be blamed, for they demand these ‘family entertainers.’ But it is all changing. There can’t be a better time for Bollywood filmmakers because the audience is currently in the mood to experiment. They have been exposed to world cinema and quality content, and are not willing to settle down for anything less. Which is why sticking to the genre you are promising your audience seems like a great idea. Irrfan Khan-starrer Blackmail sets out to be a black comedy. The trailer itself gives us an inkling into the story of the film. But is that all that’s in store in this Abhinay Deo film? Let’s find out… |
Beyond The Clouds movie review: Ishaan Khatter’s debut act and Majid Majidi’s unique take on human spirit make it a must watch!
Beyond The Clouds review: Ishaan Khatter couldn't have got a better film debut than this Majid Majidi film. http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...the-clouds.jpg Majid Majidi has always had a knack of going beyond the obvious and deep diving into the consciousnesses of the human mind. With Beyond The Clouds, starring debutante Ishaan Khatter (Shahid Kapoor’s brother), and Malayalam actress, Malavika Mohanan, he touches upon topics like hope, dreams, second chances and that lust for life, with which all of us are born. It is a gift the filmmaker has and uses to his full potential. What to do Beyond the Clouds is a must watch for Ishaan Khatter’s debut act and Majidi’s unique take on the human spirit. It has some beautiful moments that will catch you by surprise. Don’t miss this one! Rating: 3.5 out of 5http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...-ratings_7.png |
October movie review: Varun Dhawan’s seasoned act brings alive Shoojit Sircar’s ‘flowery’ vision on screen
Varun is subdued to the point of being unrecognisable in the film. He is a study in innocence. http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont.../October-1.jpg Right from the first look of the film, October has been an enigma. The trailer, which is usually supposed to offer a glimpse into the film, in this case only serves to further intensify the mystery. We are left pondering as to who is Dan, why is he doing odd jobs and why is Banita bed-ridden, and what transpires between the two. There is just one thing that we are absolutely sure of – a Shoojit Sircar film seldom disappoints. With high hopes and much curiosity, we head to the press screening of October and here’s what we think of the film… What to do If you while away your time reading poetries, thinking about soulmates, finding the meaning of your existence in sunsets, comparing life to flowers, and questioning your place in the universe – October will certainly be worth your while. Omerta Movie Review: Hansal Mehta-Rajkummar Rao’s disturbingly haunting story might unnerve you
Rajkummar Rao and Hansal Mehta have again proved that they have an hunger for brave and insightful cinema http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont.../05/Omerta.jpg How a normal well-educated person suddenly surrenders himself into the hands of radicals is a very interesting study. Hansal Mehta’s Omerta, which is a biopic cum docu-drama on the life of British born terrorist Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh has impressed critics in film festival across India and the world. The film is a brave attempt as it delves into topic without any sugar coating. That in itself is very commendable given the current scenario and our Censor Board. Our verdict Omerta is not a film for the faint-hearted. The jodi of Rajkummar Rao and Hansal Mehta has again proved that they have an hunger for brave and insightful cinema. 102 Not Out Movie Review: Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor are on a pursuit of happiness and it is a joyride of emotions
102 Not Out makes use of just three characters and their myriad expressions and yet it works http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...-not-out-4.jpg From the trailer, it was evident that 102 Not Out will be a funny tale of a young-at-heart father and his old son. With Umesh Shukla at the helm of affairs and two veteran actors – Amitabh Bachchan and Rishi Kapoor, carrying the film on their shoulders, you know that you won’t be disappointed as far as the performances and execution is concerned. But what more does the film have to offer besides what we have seen in the trailer? Let’s take a look… What To Do Even if your folks care about superheroes saving the galaxy from a power-hungry, mass-culling enthusiast, drag them to watch this delightful film over the weekend. Make a family outing out of it, we say! Rating: 4 out of 5http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...-ratings_8.png |
Raazi movie review: Alia Bhatt sets a new benchmark in acting with her career-best performance in a film that redefines patriotism
It is one of those rare films that not only make an impact but also stay with you for a long, long time http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...8/05/Raazi.jpg There are patriotic films, and then there are patriotic films. Jingoism is often packaged as patriotism and served up on a preachy platter in Bollywood. The audience also accepts it with equal enthusiasm, whistles and applause. And when the box office is happy, seldom is a need felt to make different kind of films – ones that are completely patriotic and yet feature no camouflaged men showering bullets from across enemy lines. Raazi is one such film that promises to delve into the behind-the-scene action. Based on Harinder Sikka’s novel, Calling Sehmat, the film, right in its trailer, establishes Sehmat as a spy. By the time we walk into the theatre, we are already expecting to be bowled over by a film that will be intriguing. But does Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal-starrer Raazi manage to hold our attention just like it has since the time it was announced? Let’s find out… What to do Do yourself a favour and go watch Raazi. It is one of those rare films that not only make an impact but also stay with you for a long, long time. Only a fool would miss this one! Bhavesh Joshi Superhero movie review: Harshvardhan Kapoor’s raw appeal saves this flawed and uneven action drama
Here's our review of Harshvardhan Kapoor-starrer vigilante film http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...sh-Joshi-3.jpg Our verdict Bhavesh Joshi has moments and scenes that will resonate with a lot of socio-political issues in the country right now. Watch it if you have the palette for something different than the usual. Rating: 3 out of 5http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...-ratings_6.png A city engulfed by corruption, a masked hero wanting to bring reform and save his city from crumbling under the weight of greedy politicians and police officers. Bhavesh Joshi is the story of a bunch of friends – Sikander (Harshvardhan Kapoor), Bhavesh (Priyanshu Painyuli) and Rajat (Ashish Varma) who form a masked vigilante group aimed at eradicating corruption and meting out justice to the common man. |
Veere Di Wedding movie review: Unapologetic and brash, this film delivers a knockout punch with its all girl ensemble cast
Here's our review of the Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker, Shikha Talsania-starrer http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...edding-3_5.jpg *** in the City is an iconic show that deals with female companionship and camaraderie. There is no doubt in my mind that Veere Di Wedding was inspired by the characters and theme of this legendary TV show. Even though the ***ual innuendos and expletives are tamed down to suit the desi audience, this all female ensemble of four childhood friends – Avni (Sonam Kapoor), Kalinidi (Kareena Kapoor Khan), Sakshi (Swara Bhaskar), Meera (Shikha Talsania) have several moments and chapters in their life where they ‘let go’ and break several stereotypes Our verdict Veere Di Wedding is unapologetic and brash in its message that women can have as much fun as men, if not maybe a little more! Watch it for the all girl ensemble cast that delivers a knockout punch with their performance. Rating: 3.5 out of 5http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...-ratings_7.png |
Race 3 movie review: Salman Khan delivers an Eid treat for his fans but the film fails to do justice to the franchise
Race 3 is a treat for Salman fans but it ends at being just that http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...018/06/sal.jpg The Race franchise always seemed to be India’s answer to the slick, mind-boggling films Hollywood churned out every year. With betrayal as its central theme, both Race and Race 2 delivered when it came to twists and turns that would make you do a double take on everything that you believed in. With some crazy action sequences and hot dance numbers thrown into the mix, the films in the franchise looked uber cool and stylish. But with Race 3, things are all set to change. Not only does the latest film in the franchise have a spanking new cast, it also has a new director in the form of choreographer-turned-filmmaker Remo D’Souza. Now Abbas Mustan’s style of filmmaking is completely different to how Remo makes his film. This obviously had us stoked about the film already. Plus, with Salman Khan headlining the cast, we were excited beyond measure to see how he handles the characters in the film, since they are known to have shades of gray. The film released in both 2D and 3D formats. We caught the first day first show of the film in the 3D format to experience Bhai love at its purest and here’s what we thought of the film… What to do Race 3 is a treat for Salman fans but it ends at being just that. There is no reason why you shouldn’t buy the tickets to watch Salman Khan doing what he does best. But if you go in expecting to watch the third film of the Race franchise, you might not be too pleased with the way it has been treated. Rating: 2.5 out of 5http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...-ratings_5.png |

Dhadak movie review: Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor’s film is a beautiful homage to Sairat
Read our full review of Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter's Dhadak http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...-ratings-4.jpg Our verdict Dhadak is a stellar debut for newcomers Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor. It also is a beautiful homage to the original Sairat. Janhvi and Ishaan are here to stay. Welcome to the mad world of showbiz. Rating: 4 out of 5http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...-ratings_8.png |
Vishwaroopam II movie review: Kamal Haasan’s espionage drama fails to deliver any thrills despite a decent story
Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam II fails on many accounts. Read the review here! http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...018/08/2-2.jpg Verdict For someone who does not know how espionage actually operates, Vishwaroopam 2 is fairly engaging stuff. The London portion has a bit of history infused in it, which is genuinely interesting. However, the film is flat and fails to excite as much as we hoped it would. Rating: 2 out of 5http://www.bollywoodlife.com/wp-cont...-ratings_4.png |
Fanney Khan movie review: Watch it for Anil Kapoor’s earnest performance as a dad who would do anything to see his daughter succeed
Starring Anil Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajkummar Rao, Fanney Khan featured all the names required to make headlines from the word go. https://st1.bollywoodlife.com/wp-con...nney-khan1.jpg What to do The sincerity with which Anil and Rajkummar portray their characters and Aishwarya’s star power are enough reasons to buy tickets to the film. Rating: 3.0 out of 5https://st1.bollywoodlife.com/wp-con...-ratings_6.png |
Karwaan movie review: Irrfan Khan-Dulquer Salmaan’s film is a soul-searching journey you shouldn’t miss
If nothing else, catch it for the brilliance that is Irrfan Khan comments https://st1.bollywoodlife.com/wp-con...18/08/k3-5.jpg What to do The film has a very strong first half, where you won’t be able to stop laughing, but the second half takes a long pause, ponders, reflects and becomes almost pensive. Karwaan is certainly worth a watch for it’s funny first half. And if it’s not the story that you are in for, catch it for the brilliance that is Irrfan Khan. Rating: 3.5 out of 5https://st1.bollywoodlife.com/wp-con...-ratings_7.png |
Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 Movie Review: Jimmy Sheirgill’s superb performance stands out in this not-so-thrilling film
High on dark humour and good performances, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster 3 fails in the thrill department https://st1.bollywoodlife.com/wp-con...gster3-2_5.jpg Verdict If you love dark humour, the film is a decent one time watch. Mahie and Jimmy are a joy to watch onscreen. However, do not expect a very taut and edgy thrilling story. |
Satyameva Jayate movie review: Watch John Abraham’s film only if you want to travel back in time to the ’90s
Here's what we think about the film so far... https://st1.bollywoodlife.com/wp-con...018/08/2-5.jpg What to do If watching the baddies being beaten to a pulp and burnt at stake by a too-good-to-be-true hero is your thing then Satyameva Jayate will interest you. Otherwise it will be like traveling back in time only to land up in a theatre playing an over-the-top, cliched affair. Rating: 2 out of 5https://st1.bollywoodlife.com/wp-con...-ratings_4.png |
Gold movie review: Akshay Kumar’s film is an ideal Independence Day watch that will make you scream Chak De! India
Here's our review of the Akshay Kumar-starrer Independence Day release https://st1.bollywoodlife.com/wp-con...018/08/3-2.jpg Our verdict Akshay Kumar’s film will make you happy if you are a patriot. But the sense of deja-vu will be difficult to shake off. It is, however, an ideal Independence Day watch for the sheer sense of patriotism that it evokes. Make a family outing out of it. Rating: 3 out of 5https://st1.bollywoodlife.com/wp-con...-ratings_6.png |
Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi movie review: Jimmy Sheirgill and Piyush Mishra make this Sonakshi Sinha film a fun watch
Here's the review of Sonakshi Sinha starrer Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi. https://st1.bollywoodlife.com/wp-con...gi-review1.jpg Verdict: Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi has its moments but don’t expect it to be better than the original. Watch it if you want to laugh on ‘Ye saare ek jaise dikhte hai’ being said over and over again. After all, that’s India’s favourite racist joke! Rating: 2.5 out of 5https://st1.bollywoodlife.com/wp-con...-ratings_5.png |
Ghoul review: Radhika Apte-Manav Kaul’s horror miniseries will make you sleep with the lights on
You might want to have company along while watching it. https://st1.bollywoodlife.com/wp-con.../08/3-star.jpg What to do Ghoul is a terrifyingly scary series. The first episode is a little tiresome to sit through, but if you do make it past that, it is a fun ride. The scary scenes will keep you at the edge of your seat. You might want to have company along while watching it. And also, it is perfect Netflix and Chill material. The elevated pulse helps. Stree movie review: Rajkummar Rao-Shraddha Kapoor's film is funny and scary but it is the underlying message that will haunt you for long
What's more delightful than watching good actors on screen... https://st1.bollywoodlife.com/wp-con...jpg##image/jpg Horror comedy is not an easy genre to attempt, especially with the Indian audience. It shouldn't be difficult to see why too. We like our horrors to scare the living daylights out of us and comedies to tickle us silly. Horror comedies usually leave us confused as to what to do. Horror comedies like Go Goa Gone and Nanu Ki Jaanu didn't impress the box office perhaps only because of this reason. However, Golmaal Again sure did attract the audience to the ticket windows but may be it was because it was more comedy than horror. Stree seems to be quite a novel concept and it is with much enthusiasm that we rush to catch the press show of the film. Here's what we think of it... |
Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se movie review: Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby Deol's antics, too, cannot save this film full of cliches
https://st1.bollywoodlife.com/wp-con...jpg##image/jpg The Yamla Pagla Deewana franchise has given the Deols a reason to reunite in front of the cameras every few years. Fans of the trio love seeing their antics on screen, mixed with dollops of melodrama. Which explains why makers of the film decided to come up with yet another film in the franchise, titled Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se. This time, too, the Deols are not a family, as the trailer tells us already. So what are they up to? Let us tell you... |
Laila Majnu review: Avinash Tiwary shines in this retelling of an epic romance that might make you want to uninstall Tinder
Laila Majnu is for all those who believe in love...but it is a must-watch for those who don't https://st1.bollywoodlife.com/wp-con...jpg##image/jpg Filmmakers have been exploring tragic love stories since ages. There's something about lovers pining for each other and not being able to be together that tugs at the heartstrings of the audience and spells good business for the makers. No wonder then that Bollywood loves love stories that end on a sad note. Laila Majnu, directed by Sajid Ali, is another film in the genre. It features newcomers as the lead characters. Backed by Imtiaz Ali and Ekta Kapoor, the film indeed sounds promising on paper. But does it deliver when it comes to emotions? We caught a special screening of the film to find out. And here's what we thought… |
Manmarziyaan movie review: Abhishek, Taapsee and Vicky deliver solid performances in a film that tugs at your heart and leaves you emotional
Check out the review of Manmarziyaan before you make a dash for the tickets. https://st1.bollywoodlife.com/wp-con...jpg##image/jpg Manmarziyaan is a love story directed by Anurag Kashyap. That is a reason alone to get really intrigued by the film because the filmmaker is known for his dark, grim gangster movies. Plus it has Vicky Kaushal, the talent everyone is talking about along with Abhishek Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu. Quite a formidable cast, we tell you. Does the film live up to the hype then? Read the review below to know that. |
