Kareena Kapoor
Here are a few B'town celebrities immortalised in biographies and books. Some of those pages have also sometimes opened a can of worms...

It has been in the news that author Shobhaa De is all set to pen a book on Kareena Kapoor. The book is said to talk about how Kareena moved from being Karisma Kapoor's little sister to the actress she is now. It will also include information about her idols, her influencers, her sense of style and how she became the hottest actress of Bollywood.

Preity Zinta and Shandar Amrohi
Titled 'From Nowhere to Somewhere' and to be written by Barkha Roy, Bollywood hottie Preity Zinta was supposed to feature in this biography of Shandar Amrohi. Amrohi who speaks of Preity as his 'adopted daughter' had earlier said that several pages of the book would reveal details about his relationship as a father with Preity.

There were also talks of him revealing details about many personal events in their lives. However, reportedly Preity had been fuming at this, and last week, when the book was formally announced, Amrohi declared he would leave his 'adopted daughter' out of the picture.

Titled 'Hall of Fame: Salman Khan', this book tells about the countless odds Salman faced on his way to achieve superstardom. There has been word in the book about his controversial side as well.

Hrithik Roshan
Hrithik has become hot topic for an academic book! The book, being written by Nandana Bose, an assistant professor for the Department of Film Studies, at the University of North Carolina, will have an entire chapter dedicated to him. It will feature details on how Hrithik has worked on his physique and also about his years in Bollywood.

Om Puri
The book written on the veteran actor by his wife Nandita created one of the biggest Bollywood controversies. Puri accused his own wife of highlighting his ***ual life in her biography 'Unlikely Hero: The Story of Om Puri'.

The actor is believed to have been very unhappy with Nandita talking about his ***ual encounters with his 55-year-old maid Santi at the age of 14. Nandita has also written about his affair with another maid Lakshmi, whom he even wanted to marry. The biography also talks about Puri's journey from poverty to becoming one of the most celebrated actors in the world today.

The veteran superstar penned his autobiography 'Romancing with Life: An Autobiography' a few years ago, that provided a lot of details about his love for co-star Zeenat Aman.

Amitabh Bachchan
Bachchan Senior has had several books and biographies dedicated to him. One among them had in fact several members of the Bachchan family contributing to the writing. Titled 'To Be or Not to Be Amitabh Bachchan', the book contains more than 500 rare photographs of the star.

Also politician Shashi Tharoor wrote a fictional account of Big B in a book titled 'Show Business', back in 1988. The novel also explored the Mumbai film industry.

Nargis and Sunil Dutt
Kishwar Desai's book titled 'Darlingji: The True Love Story of Nargis and Sunil Dutt', talks about one of the most famous Bollywood romances - between Nargis and Sunil Dutt.

Nargis fell in love with Dutt after he rescued her from a fire on the sets of their film 'Mother India'. They were married for more than two decades till Nargis passed away from cancer.

Hema Malini
In the book 'Hema Malini: The Authorized Biography,' that was released in 2007, the veteran actress revealed very interesting details about her love life.

Interestingly she tells, both actors - Jeetendra and Sanjeev Kumar proposed marriage to her, but it was Dharmendra, with whom she acted in several movies, who won her hand in the end.
