That was a great recovery by the Kiwis. They were 60 odd for 6 initially but things changed from then on. Vettori and Ryder stitched together a record partnership for the 7th wicket and ensured that the Kiwis get a respectable score. Both of them scored tons and Ryder got to his Maiden Test ton not before some drama with Martin playing out 5 deliveries from Harbhajan Singh. 279 is a good recovery but it will be interesting to see if that is good enough.
